Nabaldian was a great player without any GS because unfortunately he wasn’t 100% in the game, he liked more the parties and to eat too much barbecue food
Haha, I know - but at least he won it. Poor guy: wins a Master at age 20, then nothing big after.
I hear you about Nalbandian, but my point simply is that despite him having "mad skills," he wasn't able to bring it into actual play on a regular basis - and no matter how skillful, that is still a major part of how good a player is: his ability to actualize his potential.
