Wow, this match turned around. Gojowczyk is dominating Roger now.

I thought Pete does not like to watch other people play tennis. Surprised to see him there.

They had tough time getting him to Wimbledon when Roger broke his record.

Fed gets a break, thanks to DF by GoOutQuick.

Fed serving for the match now.

OK. Fed. I got a busy week ahead. Can only see you this weekend.

Make sure I can do that.

Going in to this year's AO Fed and Novak were tied at 6 a piece and Novak got the record.

Similarly, going in to this year's IW both are tied at 5 a piece. If one of them wins, that will be a new record.

Novak's draw is almost like a joke. He is guaranteed to reach SF playing with closed eyes.

Gael is playing very well. The H2H doesn't bode well, but it could be interesting.

In other words, Novak will have to play with at least one eye open.

This is a local tournament for Pete. Doesn't have to do much to get there, compared to London.

Ya, I understand that travel was the main problem. But, still I don't remember seeing him in IW in prior years. The last time was I believe the infamous exho against Agassi in which Agassi told the rest of the world about Pete's tipping habits.

:lulz2: And tried to encourage him to shave his head, noting his baldness. Probably Larry Ellison has been taking him out to dinner to seduce him into making an appearance at IW. Or he paid him, since Sampras is such a cheapskate.

That's what Venus is good for; one or 2 good wins, then bows out gracefully; or like today not so gracefully!  :ptennis:

Shapo has a world class backhand that needs a bit more control and correct shot selection . It is more like a Gasquet backhand in that it has movement and play to it with some sidespin on it sometimes, unlike Stan's which is blunt force trauma with little play. Those DTL backhands today so far , worth the price of admission.

Interesting and fun interview with Roger on TTC. Said he feels good and never intended to skip the FO 3 x, so just wants to get back on the clay. Talked about the politics and the dumping of the ATP CEO Kermode. Said he and Rafa had coffee at his house and a long talk about it, and it sounds like they're united. And of the photo-bomb with Monfils and Svitolina.

Rafa has publicly said that Kermode is a good chief and he is in support of him continuing. Federer was not so open, but it looks like he is also of the same opinion. But, currently Novak is running the show.
