Rafa has publicly said that Kermode is a good chief and he is in support of him continuing. Federer was not so open, but it looks like he is also of the same opinion. But, currently Novak is running the show.
I'll make it a thread so we can discuss. I find it confusing.

BTW, Rafa also has 50 wins at IW, according to the commies.

Feliciano evens things up v. Khachanov. A lot of talk of him having one foot out of the game, but he's still playing good tennis at 37, too.

Fucsovics up the early break on Stan. It has been noticed that Stan has dropped some weight, presumably to take pressure off of the knees, as Nadal did.

So are you saying that the weight loss is affecting Stan's performance?

Pretty crap serving from Nadal, but he gets the 1st 6-1. Some good winners, but he'd better pick it up.

Not at all. Noting that it's something that muscular players do to take pressure off the knees. It's a calculation. Are you still strong enough to do what you do, yet willing to take some weight off of the knees? I think it's also about trusting your tennis.

BTW, Stan comes back from the break down to win the first set 6-4.

Nadal made a huge leap on his serve in the 2nd, but, despite the scoreline, he had to fight to hard with Donaldson for that win. He's got a lot to clean up before he's going deep.

Nadal was late for the match because he thought the match was at 8 and not at 6 and listen the conversation with Donaldson who was waiting for him, it's too funny

Federer or Nadal would have to play the last three days in a row, Friday qf, Saturday sf and Sunday f. It looks like they have changed the event schedule this year.

He cannot blame it on Spring Forward as he is off by 2 hours and not by 1 hour.

I've always been amused that Richard Mille and his expensive watch wanted Rafa as their ambassador. Obviously, it's about image, not punctuality. Rafa is also habitually late to press conferences. I think he lives on Island Time.

Maybe he still had the eastern time and without to change the hour either, then the match would have been at 8 pm lol

Stan was serving for it, blew it, and now this is a real battle. Another chance to serve for it now.

Fucsovics is not going to go down easy.

Stan won in the end.
Quite the exciting finish, though...did you watch? I think they said 1hr. 19 for the last set. Stan gets Roger in the next round. I'm guessing that won't go well for Stan, at this stage of his comeback, and given the h2h.

Hopefully Nadal serves better in the next match, looked better defence today anyway.
