Buh-bye Nick

Nick was my finalist. :-(

I knew Kohly was a banana skin. But, if he could manage a win against him (like he did against Seppi in Acapulco), he would have quality opponents for almost every match and so I thought it should be easy for him to get motivated.

Mine, too. Oh, the folly of trying to guess the Kyrgios motivation and mind. :lulz2:

Are you going to Miami tournament this year?
Hope I will, I'm curious to see the new facilities, they look great in the pictures but where the new location is it's not so nice area like Key Biscayne though it's true the old ones needed a lot of improvements so I don't have any doubt the new facilities are going to be much better which is the most important for the players and the crowd

Sasha is nursing a virus. He may not last too long in this event.
But he seems to be interested in avenging his brother's loss to Klizan.

I have seen some photos of the new stadium, looks great, maybe it was time for an upgrade, though I agree with you the Key Biscayne area is great.

I meant he might not last many rounds, all the way to the SF .
Apparently he stayed in bed the last few days.

Kyrgios would have been dangerous against Nole if he can manage to get past Bjorn F.! Down a break in the 1st set so far! A lot of other upsets to help Djokovic; Coric, S Tsitsipas, & M Cecchinato! Bout time he got a break in this draw with what Nadal has to play against before today!

I don't know if you watched it.
Nick was OK until 4-4 in the first set, he then had a bad game and got broken. Nick broke his racquet and quickly the set ended.
He was distracted clearly and got broken right away in the beginning of the second set.
Kohli was focused and did not lose his serve therefore he served out the match.

I have not any idea who is Frantangelo but he is doing pretty well. And Tsitsipas and Kyrgios out so it seems Novak’s draw is getting easier

Ftratangelo has been a fixture in the 100 -140 ranking band for the last few years, he has hard time breaking through into the top 100.

Djokovic being made to work hard by a journeyman. He has righted the ship though.

Bjorn number 2 lasted one set. Not coming anywhere close to his parents idol.

N.kygrios I known he was going to lose early, that's why I picked him to lose in the 2nd but to French player. Wrong player but I was right about the round, 2017 the only season where N.kygrios has had good back to back events.:confused:

No, I did not watch it. But, I should have known that it is too much to expect him to perform well in two consecutive tourneys.

Spectacular shot making from Nole and Fratangelo at that BP for Nole and he takes it. Never seen this Frat dude but he got some game.

They played here before in the very same round in 2016 and he took the first set 6-2 but then Novak won the next 2 sets 6-1, 6-2.
