Nadal was late for the match because he thought the match was at 8 and not at 6 and listen the conversation with Donaldson who was waiting for him, it's too funny

It's good mentally he was able to not let the 2 hours mess with his preparation...it's not so easy.

I did not know this but Nadal has 50 wins in Indian Wells masters with 2013 robbing him of a win with a walkover in one of the matches. Regardless it's been a highly successful event with 5 titles in singles+doubles 50 wins. Oh wait it's 51 now:)

I am quite puzzled with what I have seen from Nadal. Strange mix of very good and very ordinary moments, also he seemed to change the way he was playing sometimes from point to point. Good and bad moments on both approaches. It seems that he is trying out a lot of stuff. Some almost flat forehand returns, for example.

Anyway, a 6x1 6x1 win is always good. Part of the score line comes from Donaldson getting tight here and there, but still.

watching Zverev against Struff I am seriously unimpressed with Sascha. I'm starting to worry about his mentality. You have to show more problem solving out there. He's just getting petulant. It's a worrying sign for those who think Sascha is a future number 1. And I've been one of those to think that in the past. I'm waiting for Ivan to help him have a come to Jesus moment

Didn't watch it but I'm never surprised to see Struff give players trouble tbh. Guy has a seriously difficult to play against old school game, like a better version of Mischa Zverev (the only Zverev I actually like) or Mischa Zverev 2.0. Big serve and very impressive at the net. On that note, I miss Llodra on tour. He was similar.

Well we can hope that was it, but so far he's still way behind schedule with the support he's getting! He snatched that YEC against Nole, but overall all concerned have to be disappointed in his efforts and results! Poor Lendl; might not be able to save this one from his own mental shortcomings! I'm so glad I haven't thrown in with him like a "Baby Fed" who's done so little besides his own YEC win a couple seasons ago while the top players were on the shelf! :nono:   :ptennis:

I don't know. You people are calling yourself Nadalites but seem to not even know basic stuff. Nadal has not won the IW five times. He has only won it three times. Novak and Roger have both won it five times each. If one of them wins it this year, then they will take sole possession of that record.

Ralph may have won 51 matches at IW. But, Roger is the record holder in that category as well with 63 matches won and counting.

I wonder why some fans can't be satisfied w/ their fave's record; always needing to inflate it w/ disprovable info to refute it each time?

@Nadal goat2 is obviously including the doubles titles to get to five, and at no point was there a declaration that any of Nadal’s stats are records (the phrase used was “highly successful”).

Good try to save your fellow Nadalite. The 50 matches that he refers to is exclusively about singles matches. One cannot write two sentences one of which deals with only singles and the other considering doubles also, without clarifying.

I needed no clarification. I understood the two sentences perfectly.

A.zverev lost getting sick, makes things easy for djokovic going into the next rounds M.raonic or D.thiem being he's hightest ranked player he will play going into the final.
