Drose is out for the year.. Its going to be a very COLD Winter and Spring in Chitown:mad:

I don't get it man...I have seen players go back to what they were doing after a MONTH, after meniscus repair ! How come he is out for a year?
This sucks.

Think you might be referring to a partial tear with arthroscopic surgery. Full tear and major surgery will be a much longer recovery.

That might be it...:(

We have all wonder how long his knees would hold up by the way he plays with the jump hop skip jump(like the incredible Hulk leaps)

Kobe is ready , just in time to drill a new one to my beloved Raptors. It is kinda upstaged by the trade of Rudy Gay to Sacramento though...I thought that contract was not movable. I am liking Masai Ujiri more and more.

Interesting, it seems they will have tons of money to spend in the offseason. Maybe Lebron will take his talents to Canada?

Him and his talents seem to prefer warmer and income-tax-free environments, from what I see.;)

Vince Carter didn't end up being a "Lebron" but for awhile he was a superstar who had Toronto as an exciting up and coming team. I'd like to see the Raps get good again, it adds a little extra excitement to see a Canadian team in the mix.

The Grizzlies got good after they left Vancouver but I'm not sure that's a coincidence, I'd imagine the average NBA player does not want to go to Vancouver, but I doubt they'd have problems playing in Toronto. They shouldn't as it is a great city with plenty of night life that I was too young to properly enjoy when I was there ;)

Didn't see it but looks like it was a good game. I was reading the articles leading up to it and you can tell Indy is gunning hard for home court advantage while the Heat are kind of blowing it off. Indy probably feels that the only reason they lost last year was HCA and I don't blame them for thinking that. For the Heat it is about being rested and ready to go for the playoffs. They are reducing Lebron's minutes and holding Wade out of back to backs.

Heat came out of the blocks w/ ferocity. They turned Indy over at least a dozen times in the first half. Built a 13pt lead and it was reduced to 7 by halftime. Paul George couldn't hit the broadside of a barn in the 1st half, but in the 3rd period they all really got going while the Heat struggled some. Lebron seemed ineffective in the 2nd half, Bosh was awful all night and Wade, well he was Wade.

Hibbert had a huge game. Late in the 4th Indy had a 6 pt lead and held Miami off. Something they had trouble w/ last year. I know it's the regular season, but the last thing Miami needs is to give Indy confidence. And as you say, they already feel like they should have won last year.

With Rose out it seems destined to be those teams in the ECF and the way the season is shaping I think Indy will secure home court. Not sure the Heat will go all out to get it if they are down 4-5 games late in the season. We all know what, or should I say who, is going to win for the Heat if they are to take out Indy.

Kobe is out another 6 weeks or so with a fracture in his knee. Lakers cannot catch a break this year , what with Kobe, Nash, etc...
Bulls in a total free fall, which I did not expect at all, even without Rose. They are (were?) too good a defensive team to lose this many games.

They've had other injuries too, Noah, Deng and Butler have missed time lately. I think Noah is their 2nd most important player and is mainly what makes them so great on defense and the glass. With Rose out they need the rest of the team at 100%.

Let da Bulls freefall so they can get a lottery pick.(as I told you before, da Bullas isnt going anywhere with this squad. I am truly pissed about Kobe's injury because I was about to purchase tickets to see the Lakers vs the Warriors.

Lebron won the AP award for Athlete of the Year. Not a huge fan of the award as it is so difficult to compare sports especially when comparing team sports to individual ones. But he joins MJ and Larry Legend as the only NBA players to win it. Good company.

Yeah I know, big time injuries. With all due respect to Kobe his injury doesn't really change the Lakers' status as they are not contenders with or without him. Rose and Westbrook are a different story though. Russell will be back after the all star break so OKC should be fine.

I don't want to jinx it but my Raps playing amazing, correct basketball ever since Gay got traded. Talk about addition by subtraction...They had every reason to tank , eye the lottery, but they are a team now, beating teams like OKC and Indiana...I am amazed. Let's see if they can compete against the Heat on Sunday.

Yes they have caught fire and in the East you can jump up the standings by winning a few games in a row. Suddenly the Raps are 4th and closing in on 3rd with a 16-15 record.
