50 years of it would be better. I await the day that Rafa retires and makes tennis great again :D
You and the retarded of monfed make me to smiling a lot, both of you can tell how important is Nadal in this wonderful sport, all your hate means how much you are suffering for every achievement he gets because you really don’t like tennis and clearly you don’t have too much knowledge but you are in love only with one player , you have too much adoration and veneration for one man that you don’t even know personally and thats makes me to think how weird and lonely you are, otherwise it’s imposible to understand your ugly and awful fanatism

I agree with you, except for the emphasized expletives. No matter how much we dislike/disagree with our fellow bloggers, we should make an effort to respect them and concede they have the right to their own opinion, no matter how whacky it is (similarly to the actual players respecting their opponents).

I understand your point but I only can respect some fans that also know to respect the others players it doesn’t matter their own taste or priorities but I can’t have any respect to people who likes to insult, talking so much garbage and whising the worst for another player because has beaten their favorite so many times. They should be enough happy with the results of 2017 but they can’t and they never will

I think it's retarded to support a player who plays ugly, but you're only attracted to his muscles, rafina, so why call others names? Did you run out of Nadal pics?

You are completely retarded. And yes, I love his game a lot more than your idol’s but at least I try don’t talk so much garbage like you do in every single comment

I already pointed to you on other thread, how strange, even absurd is your opinion (or rather subjective esthetic sentiment about tennis being "great") that is shared by virtually no one on this forum (with a notable exception of monfed whom I read only for a laugh), at least not seriously.

I am Fed fan, just like you. Moreover, identical to you, I also wish that Fed's tally of GS titles stands on top forever because he deserves it, also that Fed surpasses JC in overall title tally (it's likely to happen if Fed keeps playing for as long as JC did), but that wish does not denigrate other players who compete against Fed. In the end, Fed is who he is, only thanks to these players, including Rafa, his biggest competitor across the overall career. If there were no competitors, there would be no winner, or if competitors were poor, the winner would not be too happy about his achievements. That's why it's important to appreciate the qualities of competitors and hope they keep motivating your man, rather than despairing how close they are to your man's records.

You make several good points but all I will say is I have my reasons and they go beyond Nadal's threat to the record.

Nadal fans might not realize why so many people love Federer and dislike Nadal. Federer plays and wins with artistry. Nadal hits the heck out of the ball. It’s lunch pail tennis, bullying. He does exactly what is required to win: hits with margin, defends, waits for unforced errors from his opponent, employs correct shot selection/tactics. But winning is not the only thing that matters. AZ is an example of someone who wins but I don’t see him having many fans. Why? Because he’s boring to watch. In my opinion, MY opinion only, Nadal is boring to watch. I hope Federer sets and retains enough records that he will always be considered the GOAT. Someone with that much talent and ability to dazzle the masses should hold that title.

actually, its the other way. Rafael's game has bit of artistry and flare.. Rafa's game is combination of swashbuckling and prize fighter boxer..Nadal hustle for every point plus he plays like someone is trying to steal food off the family's dining room table. When you watch a Nadal match, you know he is gonna do something special. The Rafa vs Novak's encounters the early stage of their career was tennis at its best in my opinion . Those to combatants would cover so much ground that the cameras could only show the ball as it was returning back into the court but not see the players because they're retrieving the balls beyond the cameras range..No you two have got it in reverse, Roger is a legendary player, but if my family's well being is on the line..I want Nadal to play that point or match.

Each one with his/her taste. And it’s true that many of us can’t understand why the Federer’s fans have such fanatism and some of them so bad losers and haters. I remember the first time I saw him playing with the pony tail , bad carácter, braking rackets I thought he was tacky and gilipollas (Moxie, you probably knows that word) and of course his tennis didn’t give me any emotion, boring!!!

I mean look when we can call a turd wrapped in giftpaper as a piece of art, doesn't make it so.

As to your other point about picking someone to play for your life, only on clay and clay-like surfaces will I pick Nadal because I'm a bit scared of the Rosols and Darcis of the world. I'll take Federer on non-clay surfaces.

Yea I mean let's promote someone whose entire game is based on producing UEs from his opponent instead of a guy who plays positive tennis and takes chances. Really great promotion for tennis.

Trust me it's not only your opinion but the majority of tennis fans around the world and those who watch in stadiums. Is it any surprise that most people cheer for his opponent to upset this anti-tennis? The french were utterly sick of him and were all in rooting for Soderling. Ditto for Rosol. I can find you so many instances where they cheer for his opponent. You don't need the opinion of the VB to verify.

Don't let the VB guilt you into thinking that criticising Nadal makes you a bad person. It's called persecution complex which the VB suffers from.

I love Roger. I love Roger for the player he is. I would be a hypocrite to say I didn't care about Roger staying atop the GS tally and winning the GOAT debate against Nadal. I certainly wish he did these things. :)

But, the main reason for my adoration of Roger is his style of play and legacy.

At least, outcome of the GS race between the two should not change this for me.

Last month, I told you the answer to a trivia question "Name a clay tourney that Roger has won, but Rafa has never won".

Now it is time for a follow up trivia question "Name a grass tourney that Rafa has won, but Roger has never won"

p.s. For extra credit, provide two different answers to both the questions.

Basic answers are very easy, from the top of my head:
Istanbul 2015 & Queens 2008. The reason is very simple: Nad never plays Istanbul & Fed never plays Queens.
EDIT: worth noting Fed played Istanbul only once. Lost interest after winning it, which is understandable.
The extra answer is: Gstaad 2004, where young Fed received a cow for his effort. That's because it's his backyard; pathetically so, with the cow that's he's not able to understand not to mention care for. Nad would not come there as he would feel uneasy with fanatic Fed fans.booing him. EDIT: Fed returned there in his poor year 2013 (when he lost to Stakhovsky and felt emptyhanded with no wimby campaign) to receive another cow (!) but he lost the first match according to his form.
The final bit is surprising: Stuttgart went for Nad multiple times 2005 2007 2015 where Fed has been also playing many times and did not succeed despite surface & culture and language & fans being closer to him than to Nad. Very strange inversion. It's like if Fed won e.g. Rome but Nad did not.
