Also, I looked up the side effects of some of the drugs Serena is taking. That is a pretty nasty list of possible side effects to endure for drugs if she doesn't need them. I sure as hell wouldn't take anything with a list like that unless I had to take it. Everyone likes to talk about supposed benefits, but nobody talks about the possible cons to taking these drugs. I sure as hell wouldn't take something I didn't have to take if it might make me vomit or dizzy or my vision might blur.

All drugs have their side effects anyhow but I doubt it that the few times she's been prescribed these drugs, a total of 35 days in the past 3 years are long enough for serious side effects.

Yeah because it certainly helped Serena all those times. I looked at the records and a few were given when she was out of competition during late 2010- late 2011. We all know how her 2014 went at the slams AO 4th round, FO 2nd round, Wimbledon 3rd round, and she finally won one at the US Open. The time frame she requested was March and May damn it Serena give back those Miami and Rome titles. It certainly didn't help her at the slams where if she was taking something to enhance I would at least expect a second week showing despite her nerves at the time. She had a time in November after the season in 2014. Now I will concede that I would not have granted the request to her during a slam like the FO 2015. So I really fail to see how Serena has really reaped the benefits from this. She has won 9 out of 21 slams played since her return which is impressive, but I would expect better of someone taking these drugs for the enhancement benefit I mean at least 13 or 14 out of 21.

But really though if I'm Serena and the slams matter, why is there only a record of one TUE at a slam in 21 slams played since her return. I mean no one remembers who won Miami or Brisbane or Cincy :laydownlaughing. If I'm looking to benefit from this, why wouldn't I use them more at the slams if it seems that she can get a TUE just like that from her buddies Miller and WADA. Seems to me that she is probably requesting them as needed and not because she has this idea that it will help her win.

And she was so sick at the FO 2015 that she almost withdraw from the final. Maybe she shouldn't have requested TUE and should have withdraw from the final or just play and be lethargic on court but we know none of those still would have sat well with these haters.

Just what condition will Serena Williams be in for Saturday's women's singles final at Roland-Garros?

That was the question on everyone's mind as the world No.1 skipped her scheduled press conference on Thursday night following her dramatic three-set victory over Timea Bacsinszky.

Serena would later release a statement that read: "I'm so sorry I couldn't make it to press this evening. I have been feeling unwell for a few days, and after this tough match against Timea, I needed to see the tournament doctor. I am proud to be back in the final here at Roland-Garros, in a city that means so much to me, and am determined to be 100 per cent ready for the final against Lucie on Saturday."

The plot thickened when Williams failed to arrive at Roland-Garros on Friday for her scheduled practice session and media commitments.

She most certainly looked distressed during her semi-final match against Bacsinszky, dragging herself about the court lethargically between points and slumping in her chair at changeovers...

Actually, why should the TUE information be secret in the first place. If the authorities are legally allowing someone to use some drug, why should they hide it?

ITF/ATP/WTA had this "silent ban" policy for a long time where they keep a positive test result secret until the entire process is over. They said they will change that policy from now on and will announce it immediately. I hope they do it. After all in the general court system, people know someone is being accused of certain crime, even though one is not considered guilty until proven so.
Similarly, when a test result is positive, even though there are processes to be followed, they should immediately make it public so and so tested positive for so and so substance and the process will determine they are guilty or not.

Because it's someone's medical history and there are privacy laws to consider. Ever heard of HIPAA in the U.S.? Just because the public wants to know doesn't give them the right to thumb through someone's personal records. How would you feel if someone published your entire medical history on the internet? Any time you went to a doctor, had a prostate exam, was given a prescription for V.D., Viagra, etc?

This is nothing like posting whole medical records though. They're not posting anything except TUEs.

It doesn't have to be the whole history. Any part of it is still someone's medical history and it's private. A TUE has medication listed as well as the person's name. Again, just because the public wants to know doesn't make it right to release this info.

When we have all these Duracell bunnies out there it only serves to back up what we already knew anyway. No big deal really and I doubt all these rich athletes give a damn really. They still go home to their mansions.

Because these athletes are the epitome of the Duracell bunny let me tell you. Serena looks like she might fall apart at any point especially when a lot of movement is required. Rafa well very hit or miss. Venus even more so. Kvitova even more than anyone, and Mattek-Sands well who cares. These drugs are working wonders let me tell you, lol.

One could also say a person's salary is private information and so all these tournaments should not disclose what is the prize money. That obviously does not make sense right.

It is the same thing here. Once, you are in the public domain making your living out of fandom, you do lose privacy. That is part of the deal.

I am not asking their medical info when they don't need TUE. But, if they are taking some prohibited substance, I think it is fair to ask that public, even if it is authorized by the appropriate bodies. In fact, Rafa agrees with me too.

Serena, Venus and Kvitova are simply not fit enough and hence why 2 of those 3 have magic inhalers with some seriously effective stuff in them as they both post a lot of pathetic badly lost sets, then chuff on their magic inhalers and annihilate their opponents for the rest of the match.

Kvitova has had a wobbly, flabby midsection as long as I can remember and that'she why her cardio suffers. Nothing to do with any condition other than being out of shape. Serena frequently looks very out of shape but she seemed to not only drop a noticeable amount of weight since Wimbledon, she also toned up a ton between Wimbledon and the USO. Given cortisol and corticosteroids which she has been proven to have taken greatly aid fat and weight loss, along with adding muscle and power, it doesn't take a genius to see these drugs do indeed work wonders.

Serena and Venus are seasoned accomplished professionals. You are a screename discussing your pent up feelings guised in text as proven fact. You are a sad human being.

Do you see how that sounds? Well, I'm not asking to see their medical info all the time, just when it suits me (when they request TUE). :lolz: That's a privacy violation and you know it! By the way, I don't give 2 farts about Rafa agreeing with you. He's not a governing body on what is right or fair.

Furthermore if someone is in the public eye or not, there still is a degree of privacy especially when dealing w/ one's medical records. Medical history and salary history is not an apple to apple comparison and can't be used. They award the winners a large check on TV so no secret in how much a player earns.

This whole Fancy Pants leakage was a whole loada much ado about feck all really, wasn't it? What were they trying to achieve? To somehow defend Sharapova, by releasing medical files of famous athletes - not one of which contained a bubbling water pistol, let alone a smoking gun?

Sharapova admitted she used a banned substance, after the date it was banned. Very simple, isn't it? She gets banned for that, and hopefully a heavy one too.

Perhaps I'm strange, but isn't Russian nationalism a more ignorant form of it than your usual? It ranges from the impotent (Fancy Pants) to the dangerously deranged (Putin), but one thing it's never lacking is courage in displaying that ignorance loudly for all to see... :nono
