RE: Game of Thrones
The casting, and therefore the acting, is top-notch. Usually in a film or TV show there's at least one actor who's noticeably inferior to the others. Honestly, I can't think of even one example of that in GOT.
Dinklage and Headey have a great relationship. Their scenes are always some of the best.
SPOILERS:
I was sad to see the Hound get killed, because I loved the journey he and Arya were on. Their camaraderie was special, and provided some of the best laughs.
The death of Tywin also upset me. He's a great actor, and the role was so instrumental in forwarding multiple plot lines.
During the first season, I thought Jon Snow was going to be a side note, at best, and therefore get killed off by season's end. Wrong! And I'm glad I was wrong. He's another terrific actor, whose character became increasingly complex over the four seasons. His scenes with Mance/Ciaran Hinds (another great actor) were always superb, especially their meeting in the tent right before Stannis and his troops arrived.
Geez, I could go on and on. Some many great actors/actresses, so many complex and intriguing characters, so many well-written scenes ...

Do you mean "appreciate the acting even more"? Because I love the actors.
Yep
