RE: Game of Thrones

Spoilers Alert for Season 5 Episode 3!!

Arya has been saying the names of all these people she is going to get revenge on for years now, but now if she wants to be a Faceless she has to become nobody, which would mean that she forgets who she is and who she wants to kill right? I don't get it. She hid needle away so maybe she will keep a small part of her former identity, just enough to ram that sword through Cersei? There are some weird going ons in that Black and White House so it will be interesting to see more of that place.

So we have a quick shot of Tommen and Margaery's wedding and then the scene where she is teaching the boy the ways of the sheets. What is he though? Eleven? Creepy but it is the way of world back then. And how many chances does this woman get to marry a king? This is like the third king she has married. Who's next?

Cersei is going to not going to put up with Margaery for long. Not if she thinks they are trying to pack her off to Casterly Rock.

As AntiPusher said, what the heck is Little Finger up to? Is he hoping Sansa is able to get revenge on the Boltons some way? And how in the world did Sansa ok this? The man killed her brother and mother. But after a bit of glaring, she smiles and is welcomed into the Bolton family. Very weird. Would be interesting for Sansa and Theo to team up in some way to rid the world of this horrid family.

Brienne and Podrick are becoming quite the buddies. I really like these two and therefore they are probably doomed. I am not going to enjoy their demise. I'll be surprised if Brienne actually gets to Stannis to get her revenge.

Jon Snow made the right choice. If he had taken Stannis' offer, then he would have to always bow to Stannis after they take back the North. And I actually thought for a second there that Snow would show Slynt some mercy. Snow has Ned Stark's qualities. Let's hope he's a bit smarter.

We see the downfall of the High Septa and Cersei teaming up with these Sparrows. She has something up her sleeve to solidify her position in Kings Landing. This was maybe one of the smartest moves I've seen her make if that is actually what she is trying to do.

Frankenstein should be making an appearance soon.

The coincidental meetings in bars and brothels are getting to be comical. Tyrion just happens to stumble into the brothel where Jorah just happens to be drowning his sorrows while watching the Daenerys look alike whore. And now Jorah kidnaps Tyrion to take him to where he was headed anyway. Ironic. Tyrion is going to wish for that box wagon soon.

Show really picked up this week. Biggest surprise for me was the Sansa deal. I have no idea what is going to happen there. Gotta keep reading the books.

What in the Hell is Little Finger up too, . I know what his end game is but his methods are a bit surprising ..he isn't a man that is driven by just a fresh young hot babe who hasn't been deflowered

At this point we know the Finger knows what he is doing. I can't wait to see it all play out.

RE: Game of Thrones

It may have been mentioned here that the first 4 episodes were leaked. Anyways I hear episode 4 is amazing. I thought last night was excellent too so I'm already looking ahead to next Sunday.

Very weird. I laughed like crazy, though, when that other girl attacked Arya and she shouted the "C" word at her.

So we have a quick shot of Tommen and Margaery's wedding and then the scene where she is teaching the boy the ways of the sheets. What is he though? Eleven? Creepy but it is the way of world back then. And how many chances does this woman get to marry a king? This is like the third king she has married. Who's next?

He's older than 11, but not by much. I'd say 13-15. All I think when I see him is he's not going to last long. There's no way such a nice, innocent young man is going to stay in power in a show like this.

Cersei is going to not going to put up with Margaery for long. Not if she thinks they are trying to pack her off to Casterly Rock.

Agreed. My guess is "Frankenstein" has something to do with this.

Very weird. Littlefinger is always playing the long game, and based on his previous achievements, I'm sure it will be thrilling. I can't wait to see that sadistic prick Ramsey get what's coming. Skinned alive, perhaps? On second thought, that would be far too kind.

Brienne and Podrick are becoming quite the buddies. I really like these two and therefore they are probably doomed. I am not going to enjoy their demise. I'll be surprised if Brienne actually gets to Stannis to get her revenge.

I like them a lot, too, so yes, they're doomed. I don't think she'll get to Stannis -- or maybe she does, and that will be how Jon Snow becomes king. (Just a guess.)

Jon Snow made the right choice. If he had taken Stannis' offer, then he would have to always bow to Stannis after they take back the North. And I actually thought for a second there that Snow would show Slynt some mercy. Snow has Ned Stark's qualities. Let's hope he's a bit smarter.

I didn't, only because this scene's purpose was to serve as a mirror to the one in the very first episode, when Ned killed someone for abandoning his watch, and showing cowardice.

We see the downfall of the High Septa and Cersei teaming up with these Sparrows. She has something up her sleeve to solidify her position in Kings Landing. This was maybe one of the smartest moves I've seen her make if that is actually what she is trying to do.

Like Littlefinger, Cersei is always playing the long game, but she isn't as good at it, because she's too emotional and self-centered. That said, this was a smart move.

Frankenstein should be making an appearance soon.

I honestly don't know, so these are not spoilers, but my guess is Frankenstein is either Tywin or Joffrey.

Well, naturally as soon as he stepped out of the box, you knew things wouldn't go well, but I didn't think it would lead to his getting kidnapped while taking a piss. How did I not see that coming? (And shouldn't Tyrion's character really be called Littledick? ;) Too much? :snicker )

Show really picked up this week. Biggest surprise for me was the Sansa deal. I have no idea what is going to happen there. Gotta keep reading the books.

I haven't read the books, so I have no clue what's coming, but that's what makes it fun, however I love speculating based on what we know thus far based on the TV show. Which reminds me ...

Thanks to everyone for honoring the "spoiler alert" system, and not divulging what you know, especially those of you who have read the books.

RE: Game of Thrones

I think Frankenstein is The Mountain. Remember at the end of last season the maester who replaced Pycelle was experimenting on the poisoned Mountain after the duel with Oberyn.

As for Sansa and the Boltons, I have the feeling that the latter are not long for this world. Their support died with the patriarch Tywin and Littlefinger marrying Sansa off has to be about revenge since Roose was involved in the death of his beloved Catelyn.

Ah, excellent!

This seems right, too. So are you thinking once Sansa is married, Ramsey will be killed, and Sansa gains a new position of power as the widow?

Interesting theory! but remember this is GOT. It's more likely for Sansa to be flayed alive than for her to see the Boltons killed and take over House Stark.

Or the wedding won't take place. It seems Stannis has his sights on the Boltons and who knows what else could happen... it is GOT we are talking about :)

So we've had the Red Wedding, the Purple Wedding, and now what? The Black Wedding? The Grey Wedding? The Crimson Wedding?

I just have to add that I love Stannis and Davos. They are an awesome pair. I yearn for the day when they burn that red witch at the stake. She's only using him to get to Jon Snow I think.

Solid episode but get the feeling they are just setting the tone some major events in the next couple of weeks.

RE: Game of Thrones

Yeah this season is definitely slower than last season (where the $hit hit the fan early and never stopped), but I'm enjoying it so far. I had access to the 4 leaked episodes and couldn't resist watching them, so I spent 3 weeks having nothing to look forward to. This Sunday can't come soon enough. Bran hasn't appeared at all this season, has he?

^ no he hasn't. It was another very good episode and you can tell its building up to some typical crazy stuff that will happen later on.

RE: Game of Thrones

Tyrion and Jorah in a boat; Sansa lighting candles; Tommen demonstrating he's ineffective; Jon Snow receiving the most asexual lap dance in history; Daenerys sitting still, listening (yet again!) to a plea to allow gladiator-style fighting; Jaime proving he's not too bright, by only now realizing he can stop a sword with his gold hand.

Not a great episode, but not an awful one, either. And the moment where something big could have happened (the king trying to get to the High Sparrow) fizzled out into nothing.

Kind of a "and then that didn't happen" episode, until the final scene, yet that felt anti-climatic, since we knew it was coming, and it ended in a stalemate with bodies everywhere.

As for last night episode , let's put it this way, Jon Snow is dedicated to his pledge to the night watchmen, I really thought he was going to show her who the true "Lord" of light is.Btw, "You know nothing Jon Snow",how did she utter those words

Does a Stark EVER take the right, logical decision on this show? I know Jon is technically not a Stark but Jesus man, give that evil witch what she's asking for. Though I heard her lady parts might be dark and full of terrors.

That was creepy even for her. As to how she knew...well the witch seems to know everything.

I didn't really know how that last scene would end. Those who've read the books know that Barristan is considered one of, if not the best fighter in Westeros even as an old man. I knew he was going to carve those clowns up, didn't know he'd be killed off. I think Grey Worm survived at least.

Remember if the Grey Worm survives he is still "unsullied".

RE: Game of Thrones

Boy oh boy, where to start?

Someone mentioned Bran, but I heard that his story is all caught with the books basically, so he's not even going to be in Season 5. At the rate he is sprouting up, we may even recognize him in Season 6.

Anyway, onto Episode 4.

The biggest WTF moment was when Sansa and Littlefinger were talking in the crypt. Did they just basically confirm a huge fan theory that Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen are Jon Snow's parents? Sure sounded that way to me. If that's the case, then Jon Snow has the richest cock-pickin power blood of all. No wonder the red witch is wanting his shadow baby.
Oh, and by the way, why wouldn't they be a little more discreet? You KNOW there is someone listening in on their conversation then. Maybe Theon the Dickless. This Sansa story line is basically adding two or more characters into one so not sure how the TV version is going to turn out.

Gotta love Stannis. How he ended up marrying that laxative-deficient prude of a woman I'll never know. That woman is too dumb to have ever been allowed to marry Stannis. Maybe Robert forced him to marry her for alliance purposes, like a Stark marrying a Frey. Anyhow, that scene with his daughter was touching. And it scares the heck out of me cause this usually signals something bad is about to happen, either to Stannis or his daughter.

Cersei is too dumb to have survived in this world for so long. She is overplaying her hand with this militant fanatics group and it's going to come and bite her. Margeary is steaming, Going to be interesting to see how she retaliates. She seems pretty powerless at the moment though. Poor Tommen. Poop powerless Tommen. He had no idea why the city people were yelling those insults at him. Poor Loreas. Put into the blackcells for being gay. How politically incorrect. It's so popular to be gay now, it's shocking to see gay people mistreated on TV.

Love the Jamie-Bronn road trip. Love anyone with Bronn actually. And like Tented said, Jamie kinda slow there finally figuring out to use his gold hand as a shield-weapon. That look of "Heeeeeeeyyyyy, I blocked the sword with my haaaaaaaannnnnd!!!" was a LOL moment.

I love powerful women. Kill Bill is one of my favorite movies. These Sand Snakes teaming up with Elia for revenge is going to be delicious. One uses a whip, one knives and one uses a spear. Oh yeah. This is going to be very fun.

Oh Jorah, poor Jorah. He is so desperate to get back into Daenerys' good favor that he is taking a big chance here. I guess he doesn't have anything else left to lose. But still, a poor plan with Tyrion.

Please, please do not kill off Selmy and Greyworm. Dang cliffhangers. The fact that Greyworm stopped Selmy from having his throat slashed right at the last second would tell me that they will both survive this. But if Selmy dies, maybe Daenerys will have to take Jorah back. And this Meereen storyline is getting old. Enough already. Have Drogon burn the place down and let's go to Westeros.

I guess there are some limitations to doing a TV version, but not having Lady Stoneheart in the story is just a crime. That character would electrify the show extremely. I'm still hoping that she shows up suddenly and knocks the socks off everybody.

So much to talk about and think about. So good. And it's going to get wilder and crazier from here on out.

RE: Game of Thrones

I only intermittently watch the show. I've read all the books, and I'm rather irritated with George Martin. He's taking far too long to progress with the series. This could be another Robert Jordan disaster if passes away before the job is complete. But I must say they've done a pretty darn good job with the series
