See, monfed, I get caught between two fires. I am a huge Federer admirer, but I grew up playing on clay, and I love the surface. I know all the subtleties and difficulties one has to face to play on it. What would you do in my place?

Clay is nice to watch too if players like Gasquet or Wawrinka are playing. It was fun to watch Fed to slide in slow motion on clay. I used to enjoy watching Kuerten play back in the 90s with his beautiful 1HBH(minus the grunting).

It feels like trouble for clueless dulltards like you. Like player like fanbase. Pathetic to the core.
I have disagreed many times with Moxie regarding the topic that never ends but to refer to her as a "dulltard" is not only objectionable but inappropriate. One of the most intelligent and passionate of tennis fans. Oh yes I do think that Nadal stalls each time he serves. His mannerisms are too numerous to mention it's just something I've gotten used to and he does use it to his advantage. Actually Fed is so fast in serving that he uses that to his advantage as well..But I'm good with that. LoL

The USO has become the most important slam in the coming years along with probably AO in the context of the slam race and overall GOAT championship. It is unfortunate that Fred doesn't prioritize it as much as Wimbledon because if he goes all out at USO, not only does he become the undisputed USO GOAT( so he would be undisputed USO and Wimbledon) he also ends up preventing Nadal from winning unnecessary USOs.

It is absolutely vital for Fred to snatch another USO, more vital than Wimbledon for sure.

I'm monfed and I'm quite well known on tennis forums. I got banned in the other forums because some dulltard mod didn't like my opinion, I hope the mods here know better.
You are one of the biggest trolls I ever seen man, just a another champion hater, mad a about the fact that federer never hit the level that Nadal hit on clay.

Nadal does not timewaste, he just take hes time between serves which is smart, its not cheating its just trolling by fedheads also then you had as many injuries as nadal its hard to rush your game.:nono::help:

As a compensation, maybe you could try to talk about tennis without all of the editorial vitriol and insulting of other posters. C'mon, I know you can do it!

You are never going to win this argument. Nadal is slow and full of ticks on his serve. The best to hope for is that he hits the clock, and lame umps don't dock him at crucial moments. Also, that umps understand when points are long and both players need to recover. Other than that, it's fair to complain that he plays slow. He does.

Yes he does I know but I'm just saying there's good reasons for this yes.

There are good reasons when he plays a 12 exchange point, or more, as can happen. There is no reason, when he just served a fault. Look, I have argued for this is how he gathers his thoughts. I am actually adamant about the point that, if everyone is going to say that he has the best focus and competitive attitude in tennis...and most concede that...then you have to respect what gets him there. But folks still complain.

So if umpires dock him on big points they are LAME, it’s only ok to do it at 40-0. Apply the rules when it suits him, or abandon them....if you can’t play by the rules, don’t blame others. How typical of you to say lay blame on umpires.

Yeah how awful the umps are for enforcing the rules of the sport. It's funny that you defend literally anything he does even when he's clearly in the wrong.

What good reasons? He is someone who uses more energy on the court than his opponents, he needs to in order to play his ugly game. Taking all the time in the world before he serves makes sense.

What, we get paid for opening threads?

No, only when they go viral with quality discussion to boot. In that sense, NadalGoat, Monfed and Carol deserve checks as well.

He sure does play slow and use it to his advantage. It's a reality. Seems as if certain umpires are nor inclined to call him on it than others. I do agree that judgement is in order after long rallies. But hey the clay season will be coming to and end soon. Lol

Pfft. It's "timewaste" when the rule is 20 or 25 seconds and it takes him 48 seconds The break between odd games is only 90 seconds. That means Nadal sometimes taking half as much time as the rest break Sometimes it's EVERY POINT. So how is that fair to the other players? Dude needs to buy the right size underwear so he can stop picking at them before every point - and deep six 99% of his 5,000 superstitious ticks. If Roger could fix tantrum throwing and Djokovic could fix is 400 ball bounces, then why can't Nadal fix his 5,000 ticks? Because he doesn't want to and the chair umpires are too wussy to call time violations on him unless the other player or opposing coach complains.

Wait, you think Nadal takes 48 seconds in between points? Yeah OK...
