Dude, come on Nadal fans have a right to defend their hero, no matter what he does, federer fans do the some thing all the time. and it not change the match anyway, so they is no need for you to get mad about a great poster just standing up for they guy. And even try say fedheads dont do that because they do which is you trolling as well.

What do you mean? I've never seen a Federer troll. Am I missing someone here?

Really think nadal going play as badly on grass as past seasons? Federer did not back up 13 grass season, could be the some this year.

Nadal had his best grass season since 2011 last year :) I'm worried Fed won't back it up but he should. He just has to convince himself that 8 and 20 isn't enough

ok I know nadal played like a school boy since 11,on grass but you need to rub it in all the time bad as it is having watch nadal matches every year. And federer not in good shape right now I know he will be by the time Wimbledon comes aound.

So the bizarre "#1 contest" between the Big2 of 2018 continues. The one who does nothing but rests in his armchair, gains $1.
This time Roger, after Rafa losing in Madrid. Fed could enjoy his armchair #1 status until Halle/Wimby where he has two wins to defend, and where Nadal can do nothing but wait for the grass king to slip and hand Nad that bizarre #1 back.
Strange times in tennis. Or an indication that old 30y+ champion bodies need longer rests to maximize their potential on average.

This is really unprecedented success in so many ways! Back in the day, it just wasn't done to take time off; if injured you were probably "done!" The Haas story is all too common with a player trying to repeatedly come back from injury and it just doesn't work! It's amazing Del Po is hanging in there, but to me it just proves how weak this Top 10 is to be led by Fedal after all these yrs! Now we have Nole trying the same thing and it's just not working for him! The question is will Murray & Wawrinka be another stat?  :banghead:  :ptennis:

Its called being #1 by default. I will channel my inner Fiero, but the Fedal #1 baton-passing has as much to do with their sustained greatness as it does with the pussyassness of the younger generations. No one has stepped up to claim it. Yet.

I really don't understand why so much is being made of either Nadal getting #1 w/o playing or Roger getting #1 via same. It's the way the rankings and points work. No one freaks out when a lesser ranked player gains ground without playing. Fedal are within 100 points. It's going to change hands, baring the unforeseen.

SO how do people see the match tomorrow with Nole and Rafa? Will it be a whitewash of Djokovic after a nice run or could Nadal have a flashback of being pummeled over the last several years including a straight set loss in FO QF a few years ago? It would be nice to see Nole continue this roll, but I'm not seeing it! Not sure he really even wants to be out there! This is a guy who went from winning 3 majors and 6 Masters (in 8 finals) in 2015, dominated his rivals like no other with a record that'll be hard to surpass taking 30+ victories over the Top 10, to this player who hasn't played a final since this one last season! Not sure if Fedal ever looked this bad at their lowest with health or confidence issues! :nono: :cuckoo:

Either the young guns are pussies or there are so many potential greats that they're neutralising each other..

Both! I look back decades and we had our share of gutless wonders, but at the time we gave more credence to the omnipotence of the player like Borg over pigeons like The Bagel Twins (Solomon & Dibbs) and Gerulaitis! The same dynamics went on with Borg and Connors to some extent winning most of the major titles played, but nothing like it is now with more than adequate players whose only impediment is what's between the ears and not in their abilities on the court! :cuckoo:

It seems that Rafa and Roger are approaching some kind of record as to number of times they changed hands at 1 and 2. Yet another "tandem" record? I'll try to look it up.

What's the asterisk and what's your point?
