dunno..the way Federer wasted rafa in iw and the way coolscribbler employed identical tactic for a set (until he remembered who he was) suggests fed in straights..

but he is playing rafa so it also a case of what level will rafa be ?..he is so up and down these days. is nadal match tough in maimi?..Federer has had to play better tennis to reach final.

rafa might be like Djokovic in reaching usopen final2016, route to final was too soft and he couldn't access his best tennis for long enough vs stan,

i dunno, someone to win in 2 or 3 sets, is Federer abit tired ?..or will the big match final atmos negate those feelings?.
mate are you getting any sound on Sky? I got nothing on that channel. Sound coming through everywhere else

Cancelled my appointment and just got home. Started watching from 7th game. But, as it is on old fashioned TV, won't be chirping too much. Go Fed!

Nadal has played well. He will regret not taking any of the 40 bp's he's had so far.

Rafa is consistent. Three times in a row his return was long.

Hope, TMF keeps it nice and short match.

Nadal is broken at 4-3 and Fed serves out the first set. That's what happens when BP opportunities go begging. Fed isn't even into this match and Nadal can't capitalize. Unless Fed completely disappears in the second set, I see another straight set victory for the maestro.

I see from stats that Fed is not serving well. Hope he improves.

Nadal's serve is broken far too easily. Roger is playing much, much better right now. Let's see if he can mount a vomeback.
Lovely tennis though.

Probably one of the most evenly fought 6-3 sets ever no? If someone saw just the score, it would be like, whatever...

That's the beauty of the tennis scoring system. I love it. 6-3 is a difference of 3 games but is actually just 1 break of serve.

I just noticed they have fans on the court next to the players chairs.

Nadal is so far behind the baseline he's nearly in Mongolia. It's like he plays every match like it's on clay.

It's one of the main reasons why he isn't as successful on HC. He gives the opponent too much time and space to fire off their shots.

Great match so far! I feel like Federer must win the second set to win the match because another three set match would be quite exhausting physically challenging.

By the way, if you are interested, check out this quiz I have made on Federer:
and a quiz on Nadal:

He can keep doing it till he retires as far as I'm concerned. It's definitely not a winning tactic.
