Yikes, the serve has definitely lost some of its oomph so far this year. I am glad Serena is playing here and getting some match play in before Miami. She has a lot of points to defend from Miami-French Open.

Serena says Patrick coaches a lot like Richard

Tells her the same things.

Thats why she works with him so well

Game set and match Miss Williams 7 - 6 6 - 0

looked like two different matches. Serena had

to shake off some that rust.

EKat played a good 1st set.

Si Si Simona

Thanks.

Sorry that Halep had to retire in her match due to her achilles problem.Hopefully her injury isnt that bad and she can recover quick.

You should see Ana on court, that forehand can be stunning too, it sure brings a lotta ooohs and aaahs when it fires.

Ana will get Venus next, she last beat Venus in the finals of Auckland this year, it was a tough 3 set battle, I am sure Venus remembers.
Ana is unbeaten against Williams Sisters this year, can she continue?

Ana seems back with a mission, which is great to see. I'd be surprised if she doesn't beat Venus.

Wednesday prediction time just for fun. Simo is out and I am loose as a noodle :)

Flavia PENNETTA vs Agnieszka RADWANSKA - Aga wins, too good for penetta who will fight well though.

Ana IVANOVIC vs Venus WILLIAMS - Anna looks very fit and athletic, must have worked hard on her fitness. That will give her the win. If venus was healthy and in form then Anna wouldnt stand a chance.

Sorana CIRSTEA vs Sara ERRANI - Sori can do it but she wont. ;) Errani too experienced and will win it. I hope I am wrong.

Petra KVITOVA vs Carla SUAREZ NAVARRO - Its on Petra's racket, she will win in the end even if she is not fit and is in a bad form.

Caroline WOZNIACKI vs Annika BECK - Similar styles, Caro's experience will give her the win if she fights.

Lucie SAFAROVA vs Jelena JANKOVIC - Ok, my surprise of the day! Lucie will win it, its time for her to show her quality and stop chickening.

Kirsten FLIPKENS vs Alize CORNET - Flipper will take this because Alize is a bit delusional and thinks that she really beat Halep yesterday :D Flipper lives in the real world and will grind this win.

ok... my 7 winners are:
Aga, Anna, Errani, Petra, Caro, Lucie(!), Flipper. Lets see how many I get right, maybe non?... thats perfect :D
