Well Simona will now have a chance to work on her serve, which was giving her all kinds of trouble in New Haven.Another factor at the USO is the wind on Arthur Ash stadium swirls around,I hope she can serve in windy conditions.

You know that I like you but you talk nonsense in this post. Her serve is good and healthy. Its only her mental state which is s..te at present. She lost her mental strength at the moment but she can regain it back. She is a tough girl. She fights all her life. She was nobody for 3 years in tennis. She is a fighter, she just needs to switch it on. She switched the fight off since Doha. I am very happy to get back my lost REAL Simona. :)
She will fight in USO and thats when I like her the most.

In other words, she is in a good situation because she is in bad position now... aint life funny?
Had she won NH, then she wouldnt be hungry and angry before USO.

What the hell are you talking about? :)
Of course she served bad and her serve was a failure even if I didnt see the match!
Your blind spot is the reason for your error. You ignore the lost of confidence and calmness. You will see her playing well and serving well with no problems. Its just a mental problem at present. No one plays cleaner tennis than her.
I am surprised by your reply even more than your previous reply because you totally ignore the mental issue. I thought you know better... You see tennis for many years and you know what effects the serve. Do you think that she suddenly fogrot to serve? :D

Anyway, I see that you count your "Simona chikens" already. I suggest that its way too early...:D
Thanks for letting me know.

And did you just said "other forums"?... :D I am warning you from brainwash! For your own good.
I know few other forums and its amazing what humans can come up with only because of social brainwash. "Other forums" are just a laugh. Humans get really silly when they gather together in masses...

^ Well may I add her return of serve wasnt great either in her match....

Well Simona needs to get over her current mental state ASAP,she had good chances to defeat Sharapova in that match by the way,she should have beaten her in straight sets...fact.

:) return of serve bad? that just proved my point of low level of play and "some crises". It happens, ask Genie after Wimby. She is not a machine, but...
she was in a much worse place for 3 long years until 2013, and thats why I am confident.

And I added few words about "forums" after your reply. Please read ;)

^ I am not brainwashed by other tennis forums.I can see things with my own eyes by the way.

Anyway we shall see how Simona performs at the USO.As I said in a earlier post I am not a fan of top players, playing in a tournament before a major, just my personal thoughts.I understood why Simona played at New Haven by the way.I also think it could be a blessing in disguise that Simona went out early.

As long as Simona will "simply fight" and forget to "have pleasure on court" I will be a happy fan.
I dont care if she loses as long as she fights! I know how good she is. I just want her to fight damn it. Thats when she is at her best. Fight brings aggression and attacking mood and control on the match. Its a chain reaction. If she gives it all then I am happy and satisfied. It sports, she can lose, but if she fights then she has done her job. Its the main thing in sport.

Sorry for hijacking the Connecticut thread. I am stopping it now.

Petra won the first set vs Makarova. Given her poor history in the US, beating Makarova would be considered an upset.

Actulaly she won New Haven 2 years ago and last year she was a runner up.

...

There are no seeded players left in the top half of the draw aside from Caro.
One would think she will easily make the final. But that's not how things have been developing here, seeds have been making wholesale exits.
I think if Caro gets past Camila and doesn't have to face Mugu, she will be in final.

Yeah I think the same. Camilla is a good player but if she loses control she gets mad and her gameplay is out the window - seen that a couple of times, also against Caro last time they met - and then she's gone from the court in under 20 seconds not stopping for autographs when match is over.

Mugu is also a good player but not as consistent and Caro knows her well. So optimistic and looking forward to a final between Caro and Eugenie.

Well well Caroline - you win no matches in this way. You played on court today as you couldn't care less. You were uninspired, ineffective. Played very bad compared to the last month. Giogri she played well but you knew that but didn't try to do something about it. Very disappointed:nono:nono:nono

Caro got knocked out in straights. Off to US open she goes, only 50 miles down the road.
Get some rest, you will need it.

Do you thing Caroline was feeling unwell? it is not like Caroline to play as if she couldn't care less?

No she looked ok but looked several times as if she was uninterested in the match. I saw the match on BTSport2. Very disappointing. Well let's hope she can up her gameplay in the US Open.

From an interview after the match which explains a great deal:

Woz on loss: "My head was saying Go for it but my legs were just going a little bit too late. I felt a little tired out there." #CTOpen14

More Woz:. "I would have loved to have been here longer and try to defend the title again but it wasn’t to be this year." #CTOpen14

OK Caroline relax and win that major :)

Well I am certain Caroline will lift her game play in the USO.

In Connecticut, all the top girls realize that it is foolish to play in the week before slam
in retrospect and so they are tanking their matches one by one. Don't read too mush into
it. Of course, Genie cannot be accused of this as she is there to get some match practice
after early exits in big places.
