Verdasco, Thiem and Fog retired, Muzz, Felix, Cilic and Dimitrov out, what is going on with this tournament? it’s getting worse than Montreal

Raining hard in Cincy. Roger's match stalled. Djokovic started slow but finished very well v. Querrey. Dimitrov gave Stan a run for his money today...better than last meeting in Montreal, but he must be sick to death of meeting him early on. The cruel irony would be if they are drawn together at USO.

I felt an enormous oscillation on the force... like one billion souls screaming... I feel, I feel.... oh NO!

Federer just hit a two-handed back hand against Londero... AARRRHHHHHHHGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!

Lack of power perhaps.
He is 38, time to change his style :)

I missed that. Still, he's at MP.

Thiem ill, Fog withdrew...I'm not sure that there was a lot of surprise in the rest of it. Maybe Verdasco, who's rather a workhorse. Not sure why he withdrew.

It was at 40 all when he was serving at 3-2 on the second set. It was a half-volley from one step inside the service box. Reaction shot, it ended up being a drop shot winner. Still horrendous...

Very sorry that this has shattered your world-view, but this is sport, after all, and efficacy has its place.

PCB toughs out the win over Isner in the 3rd set TB. Good job surviving the onslaught of aces.

The Nishi duel ended up with the win of the younger one.
So one top 8 has been upset.

I can’t believe Nishi-oka beat Nishi-kori. I am disappointed that I missed this match, because I have been looking forward to it for some time. Nishioka is very physical and typically waits for errors from the opponent.

Holy Greek is going down, Struff a set and a break in front. Daniil won the first against Paire.

One thing which Tsitsipas is very good at, even when he does not play well, under pressure he is able raise his game.

Stanislas has no more fuel in his tank. Nothing to expect from him.
Holy Greek played well, in terms of non- Big3- Level. Even not enough for Struff.

Struff completely overpowered the greek, almost taking the racket out of Stefanos hand couple of times. I watched from the mid 2nd set. Tsitsipas came back nicely to win in TB. He fights hard, but it wasn't enough today against the fired up opponent. He is trading downwards after RG and trying to find his clay form again I guess.

Sasha has become a DF machine. 7 in the first set.
2 of them led to breaks of serve.
