I think arguments about scheduling are pretty stupid unless it's a grand slam and you put a top 3 player on a far far out court constantly. If organizers were simply looking at history, Stosur is slam champion. Just playing devil's advocate. There is always reasons to be angry about where someone is placed.

pova was no.8 but got main court assignment over even Serena...she never plays in the outer courts..the favoritism has not worked in her favor and players enjoy beating her because of this...since clay season she has lost around 4th rd at every event..

OK guys, I need to hear the justification as to why Sam vs Cornet (both not seeded) and Ivanovic [9] vs Lisicki get the 2nd court while Halep [2] vs Petko [15] is on the 3rd with no hawk-eye. I never said anything about the center court, Petra vs Venus could be a great match as is Serena vs Safarova. Seriously.

1) Welcome to the club. :) You are few months late but better late than never.
Simona will never get the best courts on best times because they think she is not sexy enough.
Simple as that. You are living in a phony corrupt world my friend and thats the truth.
Tennis is not the main priority in WTA events.

2) In this case they are correct because she cant play two matches in same time. It may have been tried in the past but it doesnt work.. She plays doubles with Raluca in the 3rd match of the day slot on court no.7 . They had to give her the 1st match of the day.

3) One may argue that she should play on main court with priority over Petra and Venus because she is ranked 2 in the world but thats another matter which belongs to pure sport.
Pure sport got nothing to do with WTA events at present.

Thats about it. Anything else? :D

BTW The completed teams have been announced for the Hopman Cup in 2015 which runs from the 4th January till the 10th January. It is on the General Tennis Talk Forum.
Serena will be playing with Jack Sock for the USA.I think it is a good move by Serena to play the Hopman Cup next year, than defending her Brisbane title.

The most stupid competition ever :laydownlaughing
No one remembers who won it and why. Its an Aussie thing to warm up before the warm up at start of season
Its like eating two first courses before the main course. No one remembers such stuff :D
Its very special to pre first course experts though

^ TTC announced that Venus had withdrawn because of an illness, they didn't specify whether it was viral.

Everyone is getting sick in Asia. What's going on over there?

That's my point. Several people retired and/or got sick in Wuhan and now Venus is ill in Beijing. Something is happening over there.

^ My thoughts for what they are worth,I really think it is the change in climate and the air,I have traveled widely in Asia,I too got sick when I was there, suffering from stomach virus, also the change in food can sometimes cause problems.

I've always liked her, so this is good news.

Now she faces Sharapova.

Who does everyone think will win that? I'm pulling for Kuznetsova.
