There is a tweetie pie, but I think he's rather more Sharapova:

I remember now..Woodstock was out of 'Charlie brown' and tweetie pie was a different cartoon.

I was a Charlie brown fan, way back..and Woodstock too.

Good day for Canucks. Peliwo is going to be a good player. He played 4 straight junior slam finals, winning Wimby and US Open. Juniors success do not always translate to ATP , but I hope in his case it will.
I also like Pospisil's attitude very much. It was a big win for him today.
Milos looks like he is still struggling. Coaching change does that to you, but I am wondering if there is more to it. At this point, a win is a win for him. I hope he picks it up.

Who are the Fed fans rooting for here? I'd like to see my fellow brit Andy Murray take home the title.

Well realistically I'd like to see Nole win, in a crazy world Tommy Haas pulls it off :)

andy needs to take the title here so he can just relax in cincy and watch the others struggle in that heat and humidity.

I'd like to see Haas, but probably not very realistic. JMDP is another I'd be happy seeing bag the title.

nole has to be the very heavy favorite. its just best of 3 sets and he has a bit of an advantage over andy in such foremats.

but I will go against the conventional wisdom anyway: I say the great dunblane warrior or del potro the tiger win here.

I would not mind Rafa showing some muscle here.

Keep your voice down please. ;)

The only unacceptable answer. :laydownlaughing ;)

Hey, I like the guy, what can I say?

By coincidence, so do I. Baron Britbox asked the Fed fans who they liked, since Roger wasn't playing. All hearts and flowers for Murray, Djokovic and Juan Martín. You just happened to mention "he who should not be named."

I am a huge Fed fan, but one that likes Rafa too... I realize it is weird...;)

Out of realistic choices DP would be my 2nd pick to win it. That would certainly spice things up real good heading into USO. But how about anyone except "he who should not be named."

Big win for Popsickle. He has been losing close matches like this and this should help him build confidence.

There was a nice article featuring Vasek Pospisil this week end on the ATP site:

Great timing, to explain to the fans, where his improvement is coming from

Really interesting insight. Thanks, herios. Those of us paying attention have seem him as a factor in doubles, but clearly he's poised to take the next step in singles. I thought he did all the right things against Isner today. Great performance.
