Apparently Hubi had a stomach issue, I did see him grimace in the 3rd set, as I only started watching, a couple of the women have had to withdraw at IW due to gastro problems, the defending champion Elena Rybakina picked up a stomach issue withdrew.

Wow, another inexplicable loss! My faves just can't seem to stay at a high level & have been upset early! HH is gone & now I see Karen K. has made his exit as well! Coric came & went along w/ Shapovalov! Besides HH & KK being thumped, the other top 16 seeds have held up so far!

Hubi had a 'stomach issue' he played on, so it was not an inexplicable loss, , other players in this tournament have had gastro illness and retired./withdrawn

Arthur Fils has a good opportunity to reach his 1st ever Masters 1000 QF here at Indian Wells. Yes, he will face Ruud in the 3rd round and potentially Norrie or Monfils in the 4R. But these are the type of matches that could test you on whether or not you can become a very good player in the future.

In addition, if he does reach the QF, he will be in the Top 32 rankings after IW, which means that he will get a 1R Bye in Miami.
