Ferrer actually looks a bit tired on occasion, but Rafa looks solid. No back room deals needed for Rafa to beat anyone, boys...

Well the other part for me is that I hope Ferrer gets to the semis. That'd be a bye for Roger or Nole into the finals. Of course Roger has to get to the semis first but that'd be a dream in this nightmare year.

Ferrer should beat Stan and Tomas . He leads them by some margin in the H2H

I am actually hoping Berdych goes 0-3

Stan might get him though. Hell, Stan making the semis isn't bad either, if Roger is doing well enough to make the semis and plays Stan there is no way he is losing that. Worst thing would be big bad Berd making it but that is very unlikely now.
Awesome thing is seeing Berdych vs Rafa :snigger:snigger I love Tomas only in those matches :laydownlaughing Cant wait for that match this week

Nadal up 30 now in the second . He isnt playing well at all

I like Tomas period unless he is against Roger. He is a looney tune in a good way. But Rafa always destroys him. If ever there is a court Berd could beat Rafa on it is this but I'm not holding my breath.

I am watching a couple of points here and there online, but from what I see , david is hitting some tired looking shots, like he is not totally committed to them, and it also looks like it is sloooow out there...like very difficult to hit through a defender.

I liked Berdych until those tweets he made after the french open final this year

The other part of it is that Ferrer just isn't that good against the great players. There are a few reasons he is mincemeat vs. them normally...I still would like to see Roger-Ferret semi. It might make Roger lose a few years off that growing age of his.

Maybe Ferrer can give his racket to whoever, go sit in the stands and eat his bagel there.

No bagels here. I expect David to get on the board

In a tournament where the number of sets you win/games you drop matters, this is a dream start for Nadal.

I think he really wants his bagel. Rafa is experienced in making them anyways.

True, but I have a feeling he could win this group with one eye shut and one arm tied behind his back. He should already be practicing for DP or Fed.

Ralf might be nice and throw him a freebee... breadsticks are less fattening.

Lame jokes aside I don't see anything too wrong with that. That doesn't mean he is weak towards Rafa in attitude. I say he is weak vs. Rafa due to not handling spin at all, and it naturally becomes mental after so many losses not to mention Rafa is just better. Berd plays with a good deal of spite towards Roger after the Wimbledon excuses. He should have the same regardless of who he plays.

Who knows?
it's 4-0 now and Rafa just saved another break point.
Rafa has converted all 5 of his break points.

Now 5-0

I'm hoping for Gasquet. Rafa deserves it after this nightmare draw...
