That was Nadal's first winner in the set (aside from aces)

ferrer is really gifting the match today with like 20 errors

ferrer cant hit inside the court :nono

Anyone else find this match ugly especially compared to yesterdays matches

Any match with these 2 is going to be ugly as hell depending on your tastes.

It depends. Their clay matches this year (particularly the one in Rome) were absolutely terrific. On hards, yeah, they can be tedious.

It's rare a match with Ferrer is entertaining. The Paris final was one such match as he brought good aggression and was actually moving the ball around the court really well. This is perhaps the only time I would root for the Ferret.

Good bye Ferrer. It was nice while it lasted. He is playing awful. Maybe he is like 'well I won last time, so you can have this one' or something.

It's more a case of normal service being resumed. Ferrer hasn't got much to offer Ralph when Nadal is playing half ways decent...

Well the other part for me is that I hope Ferrer gets to the semis. That'd be a bye for Roger or Nole into the finals. Of course Roger has to get to the semis first but that'd be a dream in this nightmare year.

Ferrer should beat Stan and Tomas . He leads them by some margin in the H2H

I am actually hoping Berdych goes 0-3

Urgh, Ferrer with an awful display so far. They must have made a deal about Paris/London.

Stan might get him though. Hell, Stan making the semis isn't bad either, if Roger is doing well enough to make the semis and plays Stan there is no way he is losing that. Worst thing would be big bad Berd making it but that is very unlikely now.

Its a good deal in fairness. Rafa gets 200 points and avoids Nole in the final. Ferrer gets to defend his title and 240 points.

Wouldn't shock me if Rafa kind of "let Paris go" to prep for London and avoid a long match vs. Nole that he likely would have lost.

I think Ferrer is tired, both physically and mentally. Losing three finals in as many weeks, and the amount of play required to get to those finals -- they're affecting him.

I pretty much said as much in the thread dedicated to that match while it was taking place. I honestly believe it was a semi-tank.

No he did not

Ferrer was awesome in that match but is spraying unforced errors left right and centre here

Maybe Ferrer can give his racket to whoever, go sit in the stands and eat his bagel there.
