FFS! :Lolz:

What is it with these little squeamish girls double faulting all the time in tight tiebreaks? :cover

Raonic should have won the first set. Did not challenge an out call during the TB. Djoke is lucky Raonic's brain shut off that critical second.

It is looking like an Andy-Novak final, which is good for the legitimacy of Andy's #1 ranking. If he can't beat Novak in the final of the World Tour Finals, he doesn't deserve the #1 ranking. High drama!

Milos is gonna fade now, like the huge tough guy he is. For the record, that was sarcasm right there.

I agree with the Dude: Andy needs to beat Novak to rubberstamp this new ranking. I remember when Rafa faced Roger in the 2009 Oz final, their first match since he became #1, I felt the ranking would look less legitimate if he lost. Of course, I needn't have worried about that... :popcorn

Definitely Moya is doing a good gob with Raonic but this one needs still to learn to have more control in the most crucial points :cover :nono

Raonic should spend the entire winter break working on volleys. Horrible at net.

Nole has officially moved on to SF.

Also, by winning his second match Novak now guarantees that he will be #1 if he wins the event. While many take it for granted, it was not true until now. If Novak can reach SF and win the tourney after winning only one RR match (which is possible), there was a possibility of Novak winning WTF and still not finishing as #1. That possibility is now eliminated.

Weird match, Novak was negative 11 in differential and Milos was positive 15. Yet, Milos lost and Novak won.

Mad Milos after the match: "next time I play him I'm gonna get really angry! Just watch me and see what I do to him!"

Next time bleh. What a shill. Played pretend tough for a few games until the chump change was on the desk, waiting to be earned, then he donned a dirty tutu and tapdanced a Shirley Temple number for the folks back home... :cover

I saw only the second TB live. It looks like Novak has still has good return game. His serve seems to be weak/off though.

Not only has Novak officially made it to the SF, he has already officially clinched the #1 spot in his group, no matter what happens on Thursday.

If Novak wins against Gael, he would have won all three matches and so will be #1 in his group.

If Novak loses against La Monf, his record will be 2-1. The winner of the match between Thiem and Raonic will have a record of 2-1. Novak and the winner of the other match will therefore move on (La Monf and the loser of the other match will have 1-2 record in this case). The leader of the group will be decided by the result of the H2H match between Novak and the winner of the other match. As Novak has defeated both Milos and Thiem, Novak is guaranteed to be the winner of his group.

Now, pressure will be mounting on Andy. Andy now knows that he needs to finish as the winner of his group to avoid meeting Nole in SF. Tanking is no longer a strategy for Andy. He needs to try to win everything.

I don't understand! If Andy wants to solidify and put that stamp of being the best this season, he probably needs to beat Nole; SF or F! I think the semi would be better chance for him! He's yet to play a YEC Final; much less for all the marbles as POY and #1! :nono  :dodgy: :cover

Hope Goffin plays instead Monfils, he would play much better and with more motivation. Monfils seems to be completely burned out, I don't know because he is injured or he can't do much better

Well, just like Novak, Murray can clinch his group by winning tomorrow against Nishikori AND Cilic beating Wawrinka.

Now, if we are talking about Andy keeping the number 1 ranking, then he has to go 3-0 to get the full 600 points in round robin.

Well, if Andy can delay facing Novak, he can always hope somebody else will do the dirty job for him (taking out Novak in SF).

Monfils has rib injury. He said in the post match interview that he may pull out and let Goffin play Joker.
