Potopova threw everything at Serena in that t/break,Serena survives 76(5) 1st set.Serena has to clean up her UFE to start with,her serve went missing in action at times.Impressed with Potopva,she is not backing away.
Serena was terrible. Can’t believe she got out of that

It wasn't pretty,she found a way to win in the end.Plenty of work to do in the 2nd setSerena was terrible. Can’t believe she got out of that

Potopova's ball toss needs urgent work,it is too high and forward for starters giving her DFs.Potopva served 5 DFs in the first set,trying to serve out the 1st set is a example.,of course she was broken
Potopova taking a MTO seems like an abdominal injury? if that is correct,no wonder her serve has gone off.
Potopova has received treatment on her abs and is serving at 1-4 2nd set...with a love service game to boot.
Serena wins 76(5) 62.....not her best match but like all champions do they find a way to win.Serena will need to improve as she plays Sabalenka next.Kudos to the teenager Potopova who came to play today.

Today we saw the Butterfly effect in an enjoyable and high quality match - actually some of the best play I've seen this AO.
We saw a hug among friends - nice
And the stats with lots of aces and winners but also errors because both players had to bring their A-game - well done ladies

Just tuning into the match of the '2 K's' Pliskova vs Muchova....I feel this could be an upset match as Muchova knows her friend's game well and she will be sending plenty of balls to make Pliskova play and extend rallies.
4 breaks of serve in the opening 1st set......3 games all.
I like the way Muchova will serve and volley,does not hesitate to come into the net on a good ball,she produced a lovely drop shot and caught Pliskova out.
5 games all 1st set.
Pliskova DF and Muchova will serve for the 1st set 6-5.

Pliskova went off court and cracked her racquet and received a code violation from Alison Hughes umpire and 1 point penalty to start the 2nd set.,she cracked her racquet a second time and was reported by a official to umpire Alison Hughes.
Pliskova gets the double break,Muchova has felt the pressure on her serve,made too many UFE
