Let us see if the "bullshit" Greek can squeeze out a set or two from the bull?

Medvedev will become the new world No. 3 after this Australian Open. He could usurp Nadal as world No. 2 if he ends up winning the whole tournament.

Novak made an interesting statement after the match.

He said he is fighting his demons.
I always thought, throughout the whole match today, it isn't about the fake kraut, its only about him.

Novak now the only father left in the tournament.
His "demons" are the same as everyone else's, I suspect: when you play well, your confidence is high, and you fly. When you play crap, the issue compounds, and if you're an out-of-control dick, you smash your racquet, yell at ball kids, and try, just try, once again, not to hit a linesperson, but only because you'd already gotten a warning. Is it me, or has Djokovic become more demonstrably belligerent since he got defaulted out of the USO?

Oh, and no one gives a rat's ass that Joker is the only "father" left in the tournament. (Quotation marks intended.) What is specific about that as an accomplishment or athletic distinction? When was the last time you heard anyone talk about the only MOTHER left in a tournament? That's kind of unfair, right? How much time do men lose to top level tennis when they become fathers compared to women, when they become mothers? You can give that one a rest. :)

No no he isnt treated like the other two, their demons are not the same.

The sweating pig nabull is more of a danger than a raquet smasher, slipping while running can cause serious injuries.:)
We all know it wasnt just about that lineswomen in NY.

Novak and Serena are the only parents left in the tournament! Sounds better to you? By the way Serena did not win a major title since was mother so far i think. But if, it has the same value as for man.
If you dont appreciate the records of Novak while being a father , why do you think others also shoudnt?
These acomplishments Roger and Novak reached while being fathers is something unreachable for the Bull. This is something even you cant deny.

Regarding about Djokovic’s agitation recently, I think I know 1 reason why he is been like that: he knows that time is not on his side when it comes to catching up to Nadal (Federer too) in all time slam titles. He knows that at 33.7 years old winning at least 4 to 5 slams to surpass Nadal is a very very tough task to accomplish.

These past 4 grand slams (2020 AO, 2020 US Open, 2020 RG and 2021 AO), you can see and sense that Djokovic knows that he is not as mentally and physically strong in these slam matches compared to 4 to 5 years ago. Don't get me wrong, he is still the best player in the world, he is still the favorite in AO and Wimbledon, but it is not as inevitable as before.

Compared that to his rival Nadal, Nadal knows he can take one match at a time to reach his 21st slam title. Nadal knows that he is not as physically as strong before and he can quickly get minor injuries at anytime. To counter that, he is just trying to be "calm" and play one match at a time. In my opinion, Nadal's mentality allowed him to beat Djokovic in three set in the 2020 RG final.

While Nadal is up a set and break, he is not serving well at all. Just no rhythm from that shot. The great thing from him tonight is that he is serving clutch just like Djokovic last night.

Nadal definitely needs to raise his level on his serve next round if he wants to beat Medvedev.

It is visible that Bull isnt made for quick rallies, this is not red dirt. He will have big problems in the SF , let alone the F.

Nadal finally lost a set after winning 35 consecutive sets. Credit for Tsitsipas for keeping his head in that 3rd set. As for Nadal, he did not play bad, nerves just got to him in the tiebreak.

Nadal-Tsitsipas will go to a 5th set now. Watching the whole match, it looks like Nadal being conservative from his ROS in the 3rd set might cost him this match.

Damn

Tsitsipas strategy of capitalizing on the nerves of the big 3 is so risky as it requires him to throw 2 sets and be very close in the third but it paid off. He needs a better strategy though that works from set 1, not deep into set 3

He lost to Djokovic in RG but beat Nadal here, so its 1-1

The shocker of the tournament: Stefanos Tsitsipas beats Rafael Nadal in five sets after being down two sets to love. Big credit to Tsitsipas for keeping his head clear and just stay on the course.

As for Nadal, it was dissapointing after playing well the first two sets of the match, but he got conservative returning in the 3rd set and it costs him the match.

All in all, Tsitsipas gets to his 3rd career SF and as for Nadal, time to rest up, and get ready for the Clay season!

Tsitsipas did what he couldn't do against Novak. Rafa knows how to choke 2:0 lead, almost happened to him in USO19.

I'm so amazed, I'll even post here. Not been watching much of the tournament. I'm all about MMA for my sports these days. But wow.... Tsitsipas taking Rafa from 2 sets down?? Has anyone even done that before? I'll watch the highlights to see if it was Rafa dropping his level or Tsitsipas raising his. Just wow...

Sore loser clown. Badly injured my hole. Wake up and give credit to the winner 'cos Nadal was fine. Look at the first 2 sets ffs. You're the reason many posters left this forum along with your tag team partner.

We all know Nadal winning RG anyway so I don't much to be sore about. Nadal was not fine tsitsipas was just playing like trash the first two sets it's clear Nadal badly Injured. You forget Nadal was overworked at his tennis Academy and Covid-19. Finally Nadal still has the slam record.
