Thiem is folding like a cheap tent at the moment.

Wow the clown took the second set.

Unbelievable how he plays with the crowd like they are all buddies.
He is an idiot but extremely entertaining.

Hope he goes all the way and send the German back home.

The German looks really helpless with this situation and atmosphere.

I always said he is too soft.

Oh ye of little faith! Hasn't Thiem come back from 2 sets down B4? I seem to recall him doing it just a few months ago @ The USO vs Sascha!
Things look a bit better now for the austrian. Finally plays like he was supposed to.

What a Match ! Thiem wins it coming back from two sets down! I thought he would do this as he has a good game and is mentally strong. You don;t win the US Open (also when he was trailing by two sets to love) without being mentally tough.

So glad Thiem won against his intimidating opponent who tries to provoke you many times during the match. I honestly lost belief that Thiem will pull this one through after 0:2. Now I hear it's going to be 5 days of silence, no crowd. What a shame, this atmosphere makes you think life is back to normal at least for a few hours while watching this.

Saw highlights of Bobs match yesterday, is the Rabbit sweating more than usual?

I am looking forward to his matches against Sissyfuzz and espacially against Daniil.

I laughed my ass of watching clowns match today, looks like a strong Greek diaspora in Australia. I like that.

The Kyrgios vs. Thiem match was great. It seems like the Thiem serve is more effective than it was. I wonder if he put in some work or the confidence is there.

I know what you mean brate, this clown is a bastard and domina too soft to bounce back.
He found a better answer in beating the Greek.

Nevertheless I’m not happy, because I dislike the soft German peasant.

The crowd atmosphere was indeed fantastic, hopefully soon it will be normal again.

Novak barely beat that us-kid in 5sets and the hostile crowd despite injury.
Respect for that.
Without this British- idiot-crowd it would help him. They are out for 5 days.
But if it’s really a muscle strain, that’s it.

If so I hope Daniil grabs his first major. Against Miloš in the F .

We will see how serious injury Novak has, but I believe his chances of winning a title has dropped dramatically. I heard crowd was booing him for faking the injury, but the injury is real. Even before the tournament started I did not think that he will win it. I also hope Medvedev will get his first slam.

How did his injury heal at the end of the match because all of a sudden he was running and playing perfect? While watching the match I knew that that’s what’s going to happen and that it was all drama for nothing. He’s done it too many times.

It seems to be a serious injury, he is usually much more reluctant in talking about injury details.
Now he is pretty sure it’s a muscle strain.

This years fast courts suit BIG server with at least solid baseline/return skills the most, that for my favourite is Daniil.
Only Novak could beat him here, but only with his A Game. Unfortunately it wasn’t seen for over a year now.

Right, 'cos it clearly makes a ton of sense to win the first 2 sets and then drag it out to 5 sets just for drama to entertain the likes of you. Pretty sure if he wants to win the title he'd have preferred to win it in 3 sets so, with that in mind, it's pretty obvious he wasn't doing it for fun and wasn't making it up. Ever hear of treatment taking a while to work? Maybe that's why he was better by set 5. Be logical. Like a blind man at a nudist beach, it's not hard.
