Dimitrov breaks Paul in the fifth set. If Dimitrov wins this match, then we are one step closer of having another Federer-Dimitrov showdown at a major.
Nope, there is no one stopping Roger before SF.

With Berrettini losing to Sandgren, Federer's lowest potential seed he could face is...Fabio Fognini. Yeah, unless Federer gets a brain cramp or something, he should be in the semifinals next Thursday.
Exactly, easiest path of all of the big3.
He should be fresh for the SF and could have really good chances.

People are forgetting Federer has Millman on his potential next match and the guy already eliminated him at a major before. Plus, he is playing well.

Here is to hoping for a Gulbis x Sandgren final. :dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2::dance2:

relaxing a bit would go a long way....
...to what? Making you more comfortable? I have no interest in that. If picking at GSM is relaxing and fun for me, that's on me. It may have escaped your notice, but he's pissed off a lot of people around here of late. We all have stressors in our lives, and how we come here to have fun is our choice. I kind of like to pick a fight, particularly with people who are asking for it. You enjoy being a self-important prig. To each his own. I've heard your opinion, now I'll thank you to leave me to my own amusements here.

These commentators do my head in. One minute they are talking about Federer retiring soon. The next minute they are saying he's playing the best tennis of his life. Might as well mute the bl00dy tv...

Imagine someone saying "Nadal got broken by a nobody" means asking for a fight. The same way you call GSM on his bullshit (though that particular comment does not fall under that umbrella no matter how much it got under your skin), I'm more than happy to call you out on yours.

Fognini is such an asshole. I hate myself for picking him to go long in my draw, now I need to root for the fucking prima donna...

Carlos Ramos doing the usual great job umpiring the match and controlling the prima donna superbly.

I tought you were watching highlights of Fognini Opelka or something and it turns out there is a live R2 match hahah

And it is finally over, Fognini wins in the match tie break. JT gets my respect, great fighter, great commitment. Unfortunately I need to root for Fognini for a few more rounds...

I agree. The Millman can give Roger a run for his money. He has beaten him before. With the Roger of nowadays, the Millman has a good chance. Roger has lost his sparkle.

My reaction to Fognini depends on the day, both on me and on him. On my part, sometimes I don't bother that much... but his show actually varies from day to day, when he is just cursing and being a nutcase, fine, I even like hot headed players. But when he acts like he can't be bothered and pretends that he is not even trying (like he did occasionally tonight), well, those times I really hate the guy. That he is bloody good, that I would never deny.

I agree, his efforts are sometimes Tomic like and that is really not proffesional. Then all of a sudden he starts playing on a high level, delivering crazy shots from the baseline which seems to come out of nowhere and you wonder why he don't play like that more often. Hard to know what is really in his head.
