While I have a moment, seeing I am watching Jannik and Rybakina's matches at the same time,
Channel Nine Acting CEO has apologised for comments made by Tony Jones, who also has made 2 apologies.
Serbian Council of Australia lodged a complaint with the Australian Human Rights Commission following the comments and behavour of Nine News Reporter Tony Jones, on the evening of January 17th, 2025.
His comments are offensive, racist and only to incite further discrimination of Australian - Serbian
We have written to the acting CEO of Nine, Matt Stanton asking for the following,
1. Immediately suspend Mr Tony Jones from all sports broadcasting all duties to do with AO 2025.
2. Dismiss Mr Tony Jones from his broad casting role with channel 9
3. Issue SCOFA, and particularly the Australian Serbian community,, all Australian Open Fans and Novak Djokovic a formal apology, which is to be published on the channel 9 website, newspapers and TV.

I wasn't sure Holger would have anything left after such a tough road; Rd. after Rd.! He's making Jannik work for it! Sonego leads early on Tien!

Sinner seems to be struggling after winning the 1st set 63, his fhand was on fire, wasnt moving at all well in the 2nd set, seemed to be struggling when moving to his left side and Rune was able to break and win it 63
1 set all.

He battled back well after struggling in the 2nd set, maybe the heat got to him, he was shaking when sitting down before calling for the physio, then was taken off court.and checked by a doctor as well.
Well done to Rune to get to the round of 16 he did have a couple of 5 set matches, he can take a lot of positives from the AO!

That was a telling 11 minute game at 1 game all in the 3rd set, Sinner serving and was force to save three break points. To me, Sinner wasn't able to play his best tennis today.

If Alex De Minaur wins his game this evening, he'll play and could well challenge Sinner.
Ratings will go through the roof

Sinner leads their H2H 9-0? Sinner was struggling due to heat, he does have a day to recover I would not write him off just yet Champion players always find a way to win btw, not at their best
