Thank you tented for faithfully posting.

As much as I like Cazaux, if Hubie serves at capacity, it’s going to be a difficult evening. For the other three singles matches, they should all be pretty straightforward wins for Alcaraz, Medvedev and Zverev.

Just finished watching the hight lights of Sinner v KK, I did watch the match live,

KK played a high level match, but what I liked about Sinner when it mattered 'he raised his game', regardless if he won in straight sets.
It was a 'business like win' for Sinner saving BPs when he had to. Thats what I wanted to see from Sinner going into the 2nd week
Jannik Forza!

Just a random thought,
I have often wondered why Rublev hasnt received a 'Shampoo Sponsor"

Nicely done Andrey. Nice to wake up to see you were able to stop Mr. de Minaur. Rest up for the battle with Sinner. Hopefully they will give you the evening match.
But my friend, this now means there are... NO AUSSIES LEFT IN THE SINGLES COMPETITION going into the second week and that's nt a good look at all !!! Awwwwwww :angry-face::facepalm: Yes, evening conditions benefitted RUBLEV more so than DE MINAUR. The Russian seemed to find another level after he dropped the third set also in a tie-break, he could have easily fallen apart at that point, what with 80 percent of the crowds cheering for his opponent but no, he was able to find another gear. Credit to RUBLEV indeed !:yesyes:

Similar results with the USOpen and the Americans over the last 20 years.

Rublev played the best match I’ve ever seen him play, last year against Djokovic in Paris. He was the better player and probably should have won. That loss was the best worst thing that could have happened for him. After he lost the third set here, his resolve kicked in. Resolve is often formed in the crucible of matches like the one In Paris. Andrey was not going to lose to Alex. I just got done watching last night‘s battle. Maybe this could be the year Andrey moves up another level. I hope so.

Cazaux, like everyone else, is having trouble with Hubie’s serve. To his credit, he’s holding his own serve thus far.

The overall quality of Medvedev v Borges not good
Borges 26/32 at the net, usually a good tactic v Medvedev

I am also keeping my eye on Hubi v Arthur young WC from France
