comes to think of it, if Alex De Minaur wins the AO then he would be the first Aussie male since 1976 since Mark EDMONDSON. So two possible scenerios, Sinner wins and becomes the first italian male GS winner since 1976 or Alex is victorious. Let's hope one of the two eventuates. That'll give tennis a much needed shot in the arm, AYE

Oh no ! He and Alex could play one another in a QF? I didn't realise that they're in the same half of the draw. Damn...
Sinner has yet to drop a set btw, it was a close match with KK, he was not his best, still a match that he needed going forward

BTW if Alex de Minaur defeats Rublev tonight, that will mean Tsitsipas will drop out of the Top Ten for the first time since March 2019, when the new rankings come out after the tournament, though 58 months in a row consecutively being in the Top Ten is nothing to scoff at

Rublev could be a traffic cop when he retires, dosent like the wind that is swirling around RLA :) raises his arms in protest to the wind

Jannik is 6-0 against de Minaur.. Alex may have the crowd, but he doesn’t have the firepower to hurt the Italian. Karen has a huge serve and the ability to bludgeon the ball with some consistency. That’s why the scores were closer than in Jannik’s previous match. If Alex makes it past Andrey, it will be a pretty straightforward win for Sinner.

The wind on RLA at times is diffcult and it swirls around
HD consolidates the break and leads 4-1

A DF from Alex and he gives the 1st set 64 to HD
I dont know why he needs to hit bigger on his shots, which end in UFE, just keep the ball in play is a better idea Alex
