K Nishikori was just as bad today.Thiem is playing like Kei from Sunday; the true determinant of his match with Fed but for the UFE's! He's missing open courts and too many 1st serves! Even though Roger's up a break, Thiem obviously gave it to him and's trying to give another! This is tragic play for the so called best!
Fed takes the first set 6-2.
Federer served better today. He was tentative for most of the first set, but his second set was decent, especially the last few games. It is ironic that he played better in the second set, because the first set score is more lopsided.
I am guessing Roger still has to win against Mr Anderson to go through, correct, since he lost to Kei , even if Kei loses to Dom?
If Kei loses to Thiem Roger can lose and still qualify since Thiem,Nishikori and Federer will all finish with 1-2 RR records
3. In three-players-ties, percentage of sets won, then percentage of games won, then head-to-head records
This is why I don't think Fed will make it to the SF! Losing in "straights" Sunday was the worst that could happen for him!
^That makes my head hurt.
