Forgive me for assuming. What WAS your point, then? Because, honestly, I've never seen a post about court speed that didn't have an agenda. Are you just randomly mentioning that the London court is slower. Just for fun?

It's interesting why it spiked for the two years prior though. The current court speed seems to be more in line with the historical speed.

Exactly. So why has the perceived wisdom been that it was always really fast, since it went to London?

It is not just Fed fans. Fed himself has said that the courts are playing very slow and he is not happy about it.

Right but read @britbox's post and see the graph...the last 2 years were an anomaly as to fast...the previous years it was more like this one. Too bad Roger couldn't have worked it out to win it the past 2 years when it was so quick. Though it seems he won a lot when it wasn't so fast. Not to be a pain in the ass, but did you even read the graph? Roger's complaining, but the court speeds match ones he won on, not ones he lost on. This is why I have no interest in these conversations about the fluctuations as to court speeds, btw. Either Roger is wrong, or the graph is. So, which is it?

There is no contradiction here. He might have won when the court speed was comparable, but he was much younger then right.
He needs the court to be fast now. He did not need it before.

I'm sorry, but aren't you now asking for custom-made courts? It's bad enough to complain that courts didn't suit across the career, but year-by-year? Now you're tettering on what you complain from Rafa fans about the WTF, are you not? That it doesn't exactly suit Roger right now.

Look they changed the court speed, for whatever reason or due to vast right wing conspiracy. So, Fed has right to complain.

That is in no way comparable to Ralph wanting WTF to be on clay.

Anyway, Rog is not winning this year barring a miracle.

You mis-remember that Rafa wanted it played on clay, though it was one suggestion. The argument was that it not always be played on the same indoor HC. Perhaps outdoor HC, perhaps somewhere else. That it be a revolving surface. You are now close to arguing essentially the same thing, don't kid yourself. In any case, though, this surface and this court has served Roger well. Don't be such a crybaby. And neither should he.

Look, if the status quo was maintained and Roger complained that he would like courts to be faster, then you can accuse him of asking something just to suit him. When they reduce the court speed all of a sudden, by this much margin, he certainly has the right to complain.

If Roger does not get a code violation today, I would consider it as a positive step in the right direction. :negative:

So let me get this straight, Roger got blown out by a guy who just got an onion bagel from Kevin Anderson. Just how pathetic is that??

Is anyone watching? I've glanced over a few times only to see Kei play mostly fine, like that awesome return he just made. What's up?

Nishi avoids the double glazed donut and settles for a breadstick instead. :spank2:

It was over so fast, I was still asleep! Proves Fed is situational; plays to the level of his competition! Get Nole out there and he might whip out "The SABR!" He has a better chance of making the SF with Kei being trounced by Anderson, but I see him missing it altogether if there's any KARMA in this world! :nono:    :ptennis:

Actually he'd have preferred Kei winning today. If that had happened then Roger winning the next two would automatically qualify him for the semis. Now it's possible two wins won't even get it done if Kei beats Thiem.

Are you assuming Roger will best KA?

Well if Fed wants to do anything, "he better" beat Anderson! I don't see it though! Fed's draggin' and looking his age! He should've skipped the YEC this season like Nadal, but his ego just won't allow it! His number of appearances is just as important as winning unfortunately! Oh the embarrassment of making the YEC only to get b!tch-slapped by these guys will have my tongue wagging! :nono:  :cuckoo:

Of course not. I wouldn't be surprised with 0-3 for him. I'd be beyond surprised if he beats KA now. I'm just stating what his best chance was to make the semis and that was clearly for Kei to win today because that would mean 2 wins definitely would have gotten him in. Roger looks like the worst player at the YEC, he got a gift group and probably isn't going to make anything of it.

Thiem is playing like Kei from Sunday; the true determinant of his match with Fed but for the UFE's! He's missing open courts and too many 1st serves! Even though Roger's up a break, Thiem obviously gave it to him and's trying to give another! This is tragic play for the so called best! :nono:
