Any chance Sasha takes Novak tomorrow? Nah, probably not. Cilic v Isner seems like a toss-up...and a #notwatching.

Well if Fed wants to do anything, "he better" beat Anderson! I don't see it though! Fed's draggin' and looking his age! He should've skipped the YEC this season like Nadal, but his ego just won't allow it! His number of appearances is just as important as winning unfortunately! Oh the embarrassment of making the YEC only to get b!tch-slapped by these guys will have my tongue wagging! :nono:  :cuckoo:
It's really hard to imagine that you used to be a Federer fan. What happened?

Just hanging on & interfering with the next-gen was enough to really make me jump off his bandwagon! It becomes nauseating, all the "love" the he garners & craves when he had "his time!" He just won't leave the stage & it's becoming insufferable the more time passes!

He does not have to walk out so that the nextgenners can rake home the trophies. If the next genners want to win, they should go out, beat the crap out of old man and bring home the trophies.

What can he do if the next gen is a joke? Djokovic and Nadal are also beneficiaries of this state of affairs.

But that's the problem with the last couple groups of "Next-Gen'r!" They have tons more ability than past eras, but something's holding them back and they fold like a deck of cards against Fedalovic! They have owned players who really are quite good, but it does them little good only snatching a couple victories out of 20! It's sad to see happen for such an extended period of time! You at least know what I'm talking about, but as you said, they need to pull it together and win; actually beat them into wanting to leave the stage! It was so boring over 10 years ago watching Fed win everything and hear the commentators laud him as if he was that extraordinary when most players just were mentally deficient and collapsed again and again!

As good as Andy Roddick was supposed to be, he truly was wasting his time and never got a handle on playing Fed; even if he had a huge opportunity like that Wimbledon final in '09! I was hoping Fed would take it because I saw Roddick as a bit of a fraud; big serve and not much else! He was lucky to take that one USO and it didn't really help him! The commercials of his MOJO were so overdone, it was almost embarrassing as he lost again and again to Roger! The confidence that comes with a big win never materialized and he was just going thru the motions as far as I was concerned! The same thing is happening with the ladies now; Serena coming back when she feels like it and sucking the oxygen out of the tour! Thank GAWD Osaka actually came thru and dismissed her a couple times! :nono:  :cuckoo:

fedster bounces back..thiem left dreaming of clay or slow hc in steamy conditions. didn't see match though.

nish 'did a murray' (v fed) and at 0-6. 0-5 managed to sneak a game and thus avoided 'doing a gaudio' losing 0-6, 0-6 (also v fed).

I appreciate your candor in answering my question, but I don't really understand your bile at players being so much better than their competition (including Serena.) I think we've all decided that the "Lost Gen" are a bunch of manila folders. But the youngsters do seem to be less intimidated by the Big 3. However, it does take some time. Listen, I have been bored to death by hearing the commies laud Federer, too, but it's not like he hasn't earned a certain amount of it. Nadal and Djokovic, too. They are just frankly better than most of what's on offer. The clock is ticking, though.

I almost forgot Murray's part of that "NG'r" group that has had such a time with Fedalovic; Nole being the most vulnerable to him! Even today, Andy would have trouble with Fed and it can't be explained! Roger absolutely embarrasses him time and time again; his lone big win being on a Wimbledon redux in the Olympics of 2012! He lost the real match a couple weeks before and took the exhibition they reward with a GOLD medal! :nono:    :ptennis:

I can take it back to Jimmy Connors (only eclipsed by Ken Rosewall) who was the forerunner of hanging on! He wasn't even winning anything, but the crowds loved him allowing him to snatch a big match here and there like his run at the USO in '91! It really was a mental thing and by sheer will, Connors overcame players with more energy, skill, and youth! He got past Aaron Krickstein in 5, then in the QF Paul Haarhuis obliged him! It took Courier to end him in the SF mercifully to my psyche! :nono:

Everyone has kind of forgotten Murray for the moment. Murray's trouble with Roger can't be explained? Oh, I think it can. As can Murray's win in London OG 2012. Fed fans say that Roger was gassed, but I think there was a lot to be said for the British public embracing him, finally, and him getting in under the painful British press radar, too, to win that Gold.

Oh, even Roger recognizes that Rafa would be missed, for the star power.

I don’t need to be there to see how much they miss Nadal and not only those one with those banners

Only horny women miss Rafa. :lol6:
Everybody, man and women miss Nadal because how much exciting he gives to this sport without any doubt
By the way, don't you know what Julien Benneteau says about Federer and how much they help him and the ex-director Caujolle of the Bercy Tournament and what they did in the 2011 to help Federer to win (but he didn't) ? you should read about it :devilfinger:

YIKES! You have been drinking the @DarthFed kool-aid. I'm sorry, but let's just face it: some of you Fed fans have some really testosterone issues with Nadal. You hate his game, so you figure the only people that like him must be women who lust after the bod. Or that's the trope, which is really about Rafa having always been the "alpha" in the Fed match up. There have been so many attempts to undermine not only Rafa's tennis, but his masculinity. Which comes off as a fool's errand, but also seems to come from a place of deep insecurity on the part of the Federer fan. Facts on the ground: in sport, having such a large fan base, most of Rafa's fans are men. And let's be real: the butchest one is Nadal. :-)2
