Better player won. Not particularly impressive, but a good win.

I like to think that Mischa has helped him with the net game a bit, too, but it could be Lendl inspiring him to use it.

This one counts. Sasha legitimately won this match and Fed was not playing crap like he did against Kei.

I have never seen this happen before. The point getting interrupted due to ball kid dropping a ball. That was highly unfortunate for Fed, considering the play was going on from a second serve of Sasha and the interruption gave Sasha a first serve.

I told you Roger sucks enough he could lose to anybody. I told you Sascha has done nothing this year. I only tell you the truth man, don't you know?

So WTF does that say about Roger who dropped the match in straights? Sascha won this match no matter the idiots in the stands!

Now the crowd's acting like jerks trying to will the old man into a 3rd set! :nono:  :cuckoo:   :ptennis:

What do you think you're trying to say? People are supporting someone who's won 14 big titles in their city. You can't ask people not to support someone right? People forget his 37. That's natural. How about activating your emotional cortex?

I saw a full match of Sasha after a long time. Very definitely, he has shown improvements in two areas.

1. His serve has improved. Speed, % first serves in and points won off of it all have improved.

2. He seems to be coming into the net more often than I remember. Also, his net play and volleying skills have improved.

I agree with Darth that his results have not improved that much with Lendl on his side. If he does not win a Slam next year,
may be Lendl should protect his coaching legacy and quit.
