Hmmmm I guess kskate2 and Sundaymorningguy aren't Ivanovic fans and have little faith in her fighting qualities. Shame.

I like her just fine, until she starts fist pumping on every shot. That actually gets quite annoying. In answer to your question about her fighting spirit, no, she doesn't have the same fighting spirit as some of the other top players already mentioned. It really does come down to belief. Ana will be in a winning position in many matches and end up giving the match away. That's not a fighter's mentality, period.

I'm glad she's back in the top 10 and playing well again. Do I think she can win a slam? :nono I need to see her follow up a few top wins. Last year's AO was a perfect example. She defeated Serena and then came out and laid an egg against Bouchard. Can't win a slam that way. Can't have a letdown especially after the way has been paved to paydirt.

Don't turn this thread into a rumor mill. If you have tangible proof about a coach, player or hitting partner, post it in the 2015 WTA Gossip and News thread. Otherwise, take it to pm's. please.

You're right. But also you're soft. There should NOT BE ANY GOSSIP ON & OFF THE COURTS HERE OR ON ANY MESSAGEBOARDS. And that goes for pm's.

OK what the hell.
I wish to see Aga Radwanska win her first major at the Australian Open as she has a brain, always thinking and not afraid to come out of her comfort zone. She's has a good variety of strokes (but alas no power) that's a real pleasure to watch when she's confident and playing well. Will vote for her now.

So you're dropping Ana and picking up Aga?

Hey kskate2, I tried to cast my vote with Aga and it states I already voted. I don't recall ever doing so ! Time to see new deserving winners as far as the Ladies event goes.

When did I say I wanted Ivanovic to win here? R U sure ? To me, it would be beautiful to see a new champion take out her first GS.

You may not have voted for her, but in this post one could assume you wanted her to win there:

She really nailed some big serves in the Brisbane final. Yeah I would like to see Ana win at the Australian.
Bring it on

'Wanting' and 'Liking' are two different things. OK I want to see Miss Radwanska take out her first GS title playing the style of tennis befitting her natural talent. It would be very sad if she was to never achieve her potential, wouldn't you say?

I would say. I'm hoping Martina can help get her over the hump.

The Best thing that could happen for Women's Tennis is for the most gifted player in the game today, Aga Radwanska to win her first major in Australia, hopefully thrashing Serena Williams in the final.;)

Say have any of you heard about Caroline's wrist injury, where she was forced to default her Opening round match in Sydney? Will she play in Melbourne ?

I think she is ok. According to twitter, she is practicing with Serena friday ...

Yeah hopefully it gets her past her slump and perhaps a bit more of a weapon. We've seen that consistency isn't enough.

She would have to be more gifted than Serena and she (Aggie) is not.

I personally feel that Aga's chances of winning a Grand Slam title have passed her by.She has had the opportunity in the past being at Wimbledon.Aga's serve is one of the main reason's,her 2nd serve is weak and attackable.I honestly cant see that Navratilova at this stage of Aga's career can improve the serve,I might be wrong in this instance.Aga is a slight build, she is always pushing well above her weight against the big hitters of the WTA.Just recently we saw at Apia International,Sydney the way Garbine hit her off the court. The draw would have to open up real wide I feel in a Grand Slam tournament these days for Aga to win her first Grand Slam title.

Meh stranger things have happened... Stosur, Schiavone, and that random chick from Russia are slam champions.

kskate2, I have similar but different problem, said I voted twice. I hit the undo button, and now I am not listed as having voted. Not really a big deal, but has happened before.
