Who exactly can beat Pova? She had horrible stats and still beat Ana. Maybe Pliskova? Why would anyone pick Petra over Pova? Of course, Petra has the game to beat her, but is she likely to remain mentally tough enough? Probably not.

Um... Anyone? Petra has beaten her in the final of Wimbledon. Tons of players have beaten her in early rounds.

The thing about Serena is even though she was hot and cold in 2014 and so far appears to be continuing the trend in 2015, She can definitely get on a hot streak all of a sudden AO 2015. I think she might be a bit happier when she has say Esther and others from her team start showing up. I think Serena really just likes the comforts of having familiar faces with her. I know there were moments in the past where Serena would freak and be unhappy during matches if Richard wasn't there.

For those wondering, Sascha, Serena's hitting partner, is out with an injury which is why we haven't seen him in her camp lately. So, I can imagine Serena is out of sorts not having the one person she depends on in practice sessions with her.

That's why it's not a good idea to start rumors and assumptions without proof. Thank you for providing the proof of why her hitting partner wasn't at Hopman. :clap

For some reasons unknown to me, this poll got closed before they hit the first ball.
So, I cannot vote now. But, I am registering my pick here to reserve bragging rights.

Caroline Wozniacki will win her first ever GS title at AO 2015 (and also she will
defeat Serena along the way to the top).

Correct me if I'm wrong , but, Serena has never won an warmup event the same year she's won the Aussie Open?

I don't believe she has. I hope she is training hard though because her movement was terrible at
Hopman!
