I don't want to hear anything about Caitlin Clark from Martina or Chrissy.

Sloane Stephens was asked this question,
Q The last 7 Wimbledon's have had 7 different women women's champions. What does that mean to you?
Sloane,
"Tennis is super cool, especially women's tennis

Another round of interesting match ups as the top half of the draw start their first round matches,

Defending champion Vondrousova (6) opens her defense, she had a bad fall in her pre warm up Wimbledon tournament and had to retire, plays Spanish players Manerio
No 4 seed Rybakina and my pick to win this years Wimbledon title meets Rouse
Iga Swaitek No 1 seeds takes on the 'fiesty Kenin"
Danielle Collins playing in her last Wimbledon tournament, meets the talented Clara Tauson from Denmark
Ostapenko (13) plays Aussie WC Tomlijanovic last time these 2 met, there was tension, lets face it at times Jelena can be a 'bitch', though she will other other things to contend with, she loves to call her own lines, whether her balls are in and out, Wimbledon still have lines people, so their could be ongoing tension between the lines people and Ostapenko.
Elina Svitolina has SF points to defend, though of late hasnt been playing well, she plays against Linette
Garcia (23) wont have it easy against Blinkova, though these days Caroline seems to be concentrating on her wedding plans than playing tennis.
Krejcikova (31) playing Kudermetova, neither player at present are playing well.

On a side not Osaka's dress was declared the 'worst' at Wimbledon :)
As I posted yesterday it looked liked the lacey frilly white curtains that my great aunt had her in bedroom:)
Quite frankly it was a design that would suit Ostapenko to a tee!

Covers coming off the outside courts, but the roof on CC will still be on for the first match
Roof also closed on Court 1 for the 1st match

I personally don't like the idea of Wimbledon being played in late June/early July. This is the time when high schoolers here in the US are off of school. I believe the WTA should have a mid-season break here. This would definitely help the quality of play during the second half of the season.

She panders to the gallery a lot ,let's hope this love will help her win the rose dish.I just dont want to see her crying and taking the moment from the winner.Ruining the trophy presentation for the winner.

Way too emotional one of the reasons she hasnt won the rose dish at Wimbledon, she sees the dish before she competes just because it is in her bucket list of trophies to win, like most players, she has to keep those emotions in tack, play one match at a time, though we have seen she just cant focus when she gets to the final and plays her worst match, cause those emotions get in the way, time and time again.
