Hurkacz has withdrawn from Gstaad also doubtful for Olympics, which is not surprising after his bad fall injuring his knee in his match at Wimbledon which resulted in retirement.
Alex de Minaur is another player doubtful for Olympics after having to withdraw with a hip injury in his QF match against Djokoivc

I am watching the 2nd set of the mens doubles final
A high quality match
1 set all, going 3 sets
Aussies Thompson/Purcell vs Heliovarra/Paten
No breaks of serve for either team so far

A TB for the 3rd set and match in the mens doubles final
This match has gone down to the wire both previous sets won in TBs
Leyton Hewiit in the box for the Aussies:)
6 all Aussies did have a mini break but lost it bhand error
Good defence from the Aussie with a mini break 7-6
Great hands at the net from Thompson 8-6
Paten a tall unit with strong groundstokes especially his fhand, this team came in unseeded as well got to the final
8 all now
Paten with a great ROS 9-8
Aussie Purcel with a great serve 9 all
How the hell did Paten get that volley back
2nd CH point 10-9
The unseeded team are the Wimbledon Doubles Champions Well Done, their first GS title!
Heliovarra /Paten d Thompson/Purcell 67(9) 76(8) 76(9)
First mens doubles undseeded champions since Sock and Pospisil in 2014!

Too bad for the Aussie team..as for Leyton Hewitt, I personally don't give a sh#t about him..Moxie, kSkate and Tossip remember how he behaved vs James Blake in a match at the Open.. Total aashole he is about what he said to the umpire.

Yes the Aussie as their chances in the final TB but credit goes to the unseeded pair they were CLUTCH and deserved their win
Reason Hewitt was watching BTW he always goes to the Slams looking at his players for DC okay with you lol! seeing he is the DC Captain for Aussie.

Nah MM. Certain things you don't move on from...the poor umpire did NOTHING wrong and was doing his job...Leyton tried to make a spectacle of the man because of the color of his skin.. I don't recall if he ever officiated another GS match again..All because Leyton didn't like the way he was playing at the time in the match..That's the lowest of the low for a player and noOne knows what could ignite some crazy fans.. I'm dug in on this one..

I know the match you are talking about, yes Hewits comments were Disgraceful, I have always liked Blake,
I am not a fan of Hewitt anyway, I could tell you many other things he has down in Aussie behind the scenes that also were Disgraceful okay
Though I am not a person that holds grudges okay, life is too short for starters, just my opinion

I'm with you on this one, AP. Just because time passes, doesn't mean that one should forget or even forgive flagrantly racist behavior. James Blake, who is probably a better person than most of us, anyway, said at the time he'd give him the benefit of the doubt, because it was in competition, heat of the moment, all that. But, I'm sorry, there is no other way to take what Hewitt said. And if you're not a bit racist, things like that don't leak out of your mouth, even in extremis. If nothing else, it had to have hurt Blake, one of the nicest, most elegant men to ever play tennis, and that lines person, too. Hewitt has certainly mellowed with age, and hopefully has a more generous world-view. But, for some of us, it remains a stain.

I didnt say I forgot what Hewitt said okay, yes it was disgraceful, I am not a person that holds grudges and yes I can forgive people, because at the end of the day, what does holding a grudge do? only brings up bad memories, at the end of the day you have to feel sorry for anyone that is racist full stop,
It is 2024 and hopefully the amount of racist people stop their disgraceful behaviour,
Gee I was called a dirty wog and really hurtful things when I came to Australia from Italy? my dad said to me 'take the high road' and never let anyone know you have been hurt. To this day I have followed his advice.

Yes, you said it was disgraceful. You asked people to move one. Some don't feel you move completely on from that. We can agree to disagree.

Gee I was called horrible things when I came to Australia, racist things, what was the point if I still held horrible racists thoughts to this very day? I know what it is like to have racist calls against you, when you do and I hope not, maybe then you can understand my position.
I took my fathers advice and Took The High Road and never let it known I was deeply hurt.
Some people dont feel I have completely moved on from that? please I know what it is like to have Racist Remarks called at your face not just once but numerous times.

You've already said this. You've also exposed that Australians can be very racist, even against Italians. What Hewitt said in NY was shocking to Americans. It may be different in Australia. But it's still no excuse.

For goodness sakes I never said it was an excuse okay what Hewitt said, I was just pointing out what happened to me okay
You dont know what it is like to have racist comments against you so I hope you never do, getting a bit sick and tired of you taking my comments out of context,

To be clear, this is not about you. At all. It's about a racist comment that was made on a public stage to a black tennis player. I don't think I go out on a limb to say that you have no idea what that felt like. You have no idea of the micro-aggressions that a black player might feel in a very white people's game. Neither do I, but I can be empathetic.

Sometimes, rather than trying to have the last word, you might quit before you get too much farther behind. Or actually consider the conversation. If you have bigger things to worry about than racism, I'd be curious to know what they are. Also, I am not taking your comments "out of context," which is your standard rebuttal when your argument gets weak. The context is clear. I'm sorry to hold your feet to the fire on this one, Margaret, but it's an important issue. There is racism in tennis. Things are getting better, but there's no argument for forgetting things that have happened, even in the 21st C.
