The mind reels if Carlos can retain the YE # 1 ranking for a second consecutive year at age 20.

So winning his 2nd Slam he ties Becker who won 2 by age 20, of course Borg had 3 at this age, but hey Carlos still has the USO and AO to tie or surpass that record.
I think Mats Wilander had 4 at 20, before winning 3 more (and what turned out to be his final slams) in his career year of 1988.

What was impressive was how Carlos rebounded from losing that 1st set
I honestly thought Novak was playing with such calm and confidence, and very within himself. That 21+ minute game took it out of him, and Carlos calming down and playing better unsettled him.

Thanks for that! Alcaraz is the only guy besides the Big 4 to win Wimbledon...since he was born.
Good one! LOL.

Just watching Carlos...he's quite adorable. Just a humble, nice kid. And he's just a kid!

Carlos wasnt the fav to win Wimbledon Novak was okay lol
I get that, but I can't call a player ranked that high and with his credentials an upset winner. I generally don't consider something as a true upset unless they are at least 8 spots lower in the rankings.
