Well, it is only Novak's second Wimbledon plate - he needed to bulk out his collection. Haha.

(Hopefully Holger will serve him another plate next year)

Dude, you know Djoke doesn't like those Thanksgiving platters. He is seething under that smile

Wimbledon this year had humble winners in the men and women events.

He should look at poor Andy, with his eight platters to three trophies.

Well, Carlos backing up his #1 ranking, too, which he lucked into with the weirdness of last year.
The mind reels if Carlos can retain the YE # 1 ranking for a second consecutive year at age 20.

So winning his 2nd Slam he ties Becker who won 2 by age 20, of course Borg had 3 at this age, but hey Carlos still has the USO and AO to tie or surpass that record.

ETA: sorry I think Wilander also had 3.

FYI, Novak didn't play his first ATP tour match until 2004 - at Umag in July. But he went pro in 2003, playing a Futures tournament in January - a few months before Alcaraz was born.

His earnings for that match (a loss to Victor Radescu) was $118.

Congratulations to Carlos Alcaraz and his fans! A truly changing of the guard just like in 2008 Wimbledon! Time flies man...

I don't know the stats, but Novak doesn't often lose when he wins the first set at a Major.
