The one thing we know is if Stan will play Novak like he is at the blackjack game table. Stan is gonna take a hit on 16 and "soft" 17 EVERY time..he will stress Novak's FH..no doubt about it..
Since Stan began playing this year, he’s lost a lot of fat and moob (man boob) is gone. He’s moving a lot better and striking the ball as hard as ever. Just more errors than there used to be. If one guy can hit Novak off the court, Stan can. He’s done it before.

If this was the dirt or HC I would put more weight behind Stan's chances. He's never really performed well here and I don't see him taking out Djoke at this stage. I hope he at least wins a set and keeps it competitive but that's about it.

I seem to remember @Federberg mentioning he either lives or used to live near Wimbledon. I wonder what he thinks of this woman, and what his experiences are/were?
haven't lived around there for about 10 years now. Can't say I loved the crowds, and the fact I couldn't park on the road while the tournament was on (if I needed to go to local shops near Southfields). There were some benefits I guess, Stan Wawrinka used to rent a house on my road or nearby, for a number of years I often saw him walking to the outside courts and he came to recognise me and would nod as we passed each other. Deep into the 2nd week I could hear the crowds on centre court cheering. It's quite weird when you're watching a match on tv, and you hear the cheers before the point is over on the screen. If it was a popular player I would know before the point was concluded on screen who won the point. As an aside, this is why I still think the finish of the '08 final was stupid. It was simply too dark in the last 3 or 4 games for anyone to claim it made sense to continue... ah well! One final thing... I would also add that I understand what the woman says when she says she loves the area, and despite the hassle of the fortnight wouldn't want to leave. The houses within 500 yards of the courts are seriously nice, and Wimbledon Village is lovely. You don't give up such spots easily...

Lorenzo Musetti won in straight sets, including the final set 6-1. Looks like he's finally figured out BO5 tennis, lol.

After the slippery conditions yesterday and both players Sonego and Berrettini refused to play on, I dont blame them quite frankly , my Italian Matteo won in 4 sets today Matteo Forza! This is Matteo's first win since April, after injuries and of course his relationship with that cougar his current GF, who by the Italian media says one of the reasons of his poor play.

Even during the period he was winning majors, his best results were two QFs. On one hand, we know he’s not afraid of Novak, but there’s no great history here and he’s not what he used to be either.
I’d be happy if he made the QFs this year. :)

Watching Broady v Ruud. They could be brothers. The only way I can figure who’s who is Broady is the left-hander
You need a medal for watching that match, I gave up sometime ago :) Andrew Castle is one of the most painful commie in the history or our game lol!

I don’t have the build up of resentment for his retarded commentary. I guess he’s the equivalent of Mary Carillo?

I’ve been following Ruud for a few years. The turf might as well be the surface of the moon for him. Broady is a grass specialist and Caspar is unable to figure it out.

well he's not going far. down 2 breaks in the decider. Likely going home in about 20 minutes unless he's playing doubs
I dont think he is playing doubles I will check, Broady is a better grass court player than Ruud

Hey MM, didn't Dangerous win a grass tuneup? He's about to be blown out in straights to a nobody

So looks like Cerrundolo and Ruud, two players who excel on clay are unsurprisingly going out early at Wimbledon.

And yet for years we had to put up with the lame argument that the grass has been slowed down so much that it might as well be a HC, the slams are interchangeable, etc, etc.

With Federer retired hopefully all those rationalizations about grasscourt tennis can be put to rest.
