Boris Becker had been found guilty of four charges under the Insolvency Act, in a London court:

What an idiot! I find it amazing when players who we've known to have made 10's of millions of dollars end up broke! I remember years ago when Becker started spiraling out of control with his finances when he bought a small island property with a huge estate on it that required 100's of thousands of dollars just to maintain! It's like a poor person that tries to rent a house they can't afford! After a couple years they're surprised when they're in the hole and unable to maintain their standard of living! :astonished-face::fearful-face::angry-face:

Yeah, he still lived as if he was a contender for big titles, raking it in. Pat Cash said that Boris was always a bit of a sucker for businessmen with smart laptops and pie charts sidling up to him “for a quick chat, 2 minutes, tops!”

With Ion Tiriac managing him, I'm sure some of his money was stolen! He didn't become the 1st tennis billionaire just managing talent! :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Did you hear some TIK TOK HO tried to root around for the condom after encounter with celeb to do the same thing, but the guy put hot sauce in it? Now she's trying to sue over "the burn!" I really didn't need to make it this long to see this disgusting state of affairs around the world! :anxious-face-with-sweat: :astonished-face: :-)2

Listen, Boris will survive nicely. With his level of celebrity and tennis connections, he is not going to be homeless by any means. Sadly not the first, I think of Bjorn Borg losing millions through his business ventures, Juan Del Potro's dad apparently squandering his fortune and of course the sorry case of Arantxa Sanchez Vicario accusations that her father/family left her "penniless" despite her earning from tournaments/endorsements over 60 million.

IIRC early in their careers Richard Williams made sure his daughters knew how to prepare their own tax returns , the larger point being they needed to make sure where their money was at and how it was being used/invested.

To put it in a larger context, they can all thank their lucky stars they are not Roscoe Tanner. :astonished-face:

I was the most shocked by the malfeasance of Arantxa's family since there were 3 of them playing tennis! Roscoe turned into something unrecognizable after his tennis years trying to con people just to survive! I'll never understand it! Even a squirrel knows to save some nuts for a rainy day! :shushing-face::angry-face::anxious-face-with-sweat: :fearful-face:
