As a medical professional and have been in ICU caring for COV ID-19 patients
There is no proof that you are immune to COVID-19 once you contract it at present
Moxie is correct that there can be lung damage, that depends how bad the virus affected the patient in the first place
Any one with an underlying lung condition can be very serious
Many patients have complained even though they are COVID-19 negative after contracting the virus they still feel 'fatiqued' this can be ongoing for months by the way.

I think you'd be playing with house money if you bet that Novak will resign as President of the Player's Council.

It is the correct thing to do in this situation quite frankly,he did not set a good example, especially in the middle of a pandemic
People have lost faith in him and respect.

Not only should Djokovic resign but he should be held accountable should any one he has came in contact with, should die as a result of the pandemic.

I'm very interested in seeing the numbers from the ones who attended the tournament's the past few weeks. Not only has the top Serbian and number one ranked tennis player in the world test positive but Now This:

Nice Party! Perhaps Trump should choose Nole for running mate.
I wonder now do Novak and his team realizing how many folks he possiblity infected..The two tournaments, the night clubs, every restaurant, every taxi, every airport and airplane, every gymnasium, every tennis player , every basketball player and including all of their families. Plus by delaying to be tested in one country, traveling across the boarder to his home country..this moron has been a traveling petri dish of Covid-19 for weeks. I stated this two weeks ago, his sweaty body was going to come back to haunt the tour, unfortunately I was correct.

Some right wingers here, defenders of Joker's carelessness, also tend to minimise the seriousness of COVID19 pandemic. All of it, together with the fact that right-winged US states are experiencing the rise in the spread of the disease:
Virus cases rise in states where Trump won
is in remarkable correlation. No surprise really: when I see those red states people demonstrating against 6ft distancing with firearms in their hands (where open carry applies), I cannot help but laugh at their naive/denialist approach to the problem (until their selfish minds are corrected by say a death in their family).
I hope USO organizers are not so stupid (NY is blue state) and take this matter with due seriousness. They should take a note of Joker's stupid carelessness (in tennis world about similar to the carelessness of those firearm waving demonstrators) and take appropriate actions. E.g. an action that would satisfy my ego would be banning Joker from the participation (given Joker recovers from his infection and wants to participate).

Yes it's some right wing idiots like Cali who could care less how Covid-19 viruses is wrecking havoc on humanity.

No my dear friend. I wasn't saying that Novak is the only one at fault but his DNA is all over this one. If this occurred at the Nadal Academy or in Basel at Roger's tournament most likely the same could be said. However, Novak's carelessness and lack of social distancing is at the level of some teenagers holding a AIRBNB party without any supervision. Yes, this one is on Novak's sweaty body and he is going to have to own this one.

Absolutely pathetic on Djokovic's part to apologize.....over 99.6% of cases do not result in fatalities. Most of the time people do not even know they have it because it is such a mild disease. And as economies begin to re-open, it is inevitable that people are going to catch it if they haven't already had it. But what will happen? Nothing. Because it just isn't that dangerous. The March 24th article from the Wall Street Journal I posted explained, plain as day, that there are millions of asymptomatic carriers.

There is nothing to apologize for here, except making this stupid apology. Unfortunately what Djokovic is proving is that the modern sports culture does result in people becoming politically feeble and brain-dead, which of course allows the left to exert power over people's minds.
I have not any idea if you know someone close to you if he/she has been infected but I know very well some friends who got the virus, they had more or less the same symptoms, lack of taste, difficulty breathing, pain all around the body, fever and after one month and now they are ok still they feel tired and not as well as before to get the virus. Of course they were very light infected but there are others which are between 20’s and 30’ in the Hospital in worse condition . Miami 5,511 infected in the last 24 hours and we have to think that those which are infected could spread to older people or others with bad healthy conditions which could be mortal

Novak Djokovic, second from left, poses with Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov (left), Serbia's Viktor Troicki and Croatia's Borna Coric in Croatia. All have tested positive to COVID-19.
From an article in my local news: Novak Djokovic's dad defends his son, blames another player for spreading COVID-19.
Said article quotes Joker's father defending his son and shifting blame to Grigor. What a laughable case of a 'macho' father defending his offspring! Remember Tomic's father punching his son's sparing partner? That 'macho' paid for his aggression with a suspended sentence if I recall correctly. What is Joker's father going pay for his paternal attitude? He's already paid in my mind with loss of respect. Look at the picture: who is the most careless and/or likely to spread the virus: the gentle and a bit restrained guy to the left or the guy to the centre embracing others with an emphatic passion?

Some people including these dumb players think that we shut down the whole planet just for fun. I can’t believe that they went on with this event with zero social distancing and completely irresponsible behaviour. They probably transmitted this virus to others who also transmit it to others who will end up dying.

That fellow Peter FitzSimons doesn't pull his punches. I believe he called Novak a moron twice. He did wonder where were Roger and Rafa in terms of criticizing Novak. I don't actually think that's fair on them, or necessary. Nicky K has been a pretty eloquent critic, and there's really no need to pile-on. And Rafa did already criticize the anti-vaccination stance. The player's council will probably let him finish his quarantine, or his recuperation, if he actually gets sick, and then they'll decide what to do. But given that Djoker has 1) come out against mandating players take the vaccine, whenever there is one, 2) against the strict USO protocols, and 3) the Adria Tour choices, it's hard to think he's the right player's rep for this time we're living in.

This is incredibly cheap, and Djokovic's dad is a notorious jerk. Someone mentioned on this thread, but there was a Serbian basketball player, Nikola Jokic at the tennis exho, and he was at a basketball exho, too, where another player tested positive, and Jokic has tested positive now, too. Just because Dimitrov was the guy that got sick first doesn't mean that he was the guy that brung it to the party. And it was a party, which Djokovic organized.

Besides Novak's dad, his coach and tournament director of the Croatian leg of the Adria Tour, Goran Ivanisovic has come out defending Novak. (I mean, of course he would.) But he said something about, well, in 20/20 hindsight we're all smart...except that there was plenty of opportunity and information for 20/20 foresight.

Chris, I think you're right that there's some macho element to all of this, and I mean that rather globally. Kind of "real men don't wear masks." (Which is actually a thing.) Or "real men laugh in the face of danger," or I don't know what. I have a hard time understanding why all of these guys felt like being cautious was not necessary/beneath them/too "girly." Novak asked them all to jump off a cliff together, and they were too butch to say no.

I got to be careful here, but it seems to me there was almost a nationalistic pride that their region had a relatively COVID-low infection rate, thus why such an alarming lack of safety protocols in place with some of the recent sporting events, not just Novak's.

Goodness me his father is not doing Novak any favours by opening his mouth,he is just adding fuel to the fire,Novak is not a little boy anymore,he instigated this tour and did not listen to the health professionals regarding 'staying safe' and making certain the health protocals were put in place for this tour,he now has to take his 'medicine' dad okay.

This is a point I was thinking of but didn't say before: his father and his coach are infantilizing him. Apparently, all of his advisors and sounding boards are idiots, too. None of them were taking this global pandemic seriously.
