Jesus Christ Fed fans' melancholy has been insaaaaaaaaaane this year. If this board wasn't mainly Federer-dominated they would be called out far more, but this is ridiculous.

Well what has Roger done this year to cheer us up? He's been dismal.

I mean, not much, and the Wimbledon loss must be difficult to get over but Jesus Christ you guys have been so dramatic. Plus, it's hardly just about Roger. It's how insanely vitriolic you've been about a certain other player, the constant complaints about surface speeds, unfounded accusations, insane claims (Nadal only has one legitimate Wimbledon title), etc...

Honestly it's been way over the top.

Just read this. A fan paid over $53000 for 4 tickets to what was expected to be a potential Federer v Nadal final after Federer had won the 3rd set. That sucks but then gotta have money to burn to buy them in the first place I guess.

I don’t feel bad for him because it’s still worth $53,000 to watch the GOAT Nadal even if he’s standing there just picking his butt and not even hitting a ball. A true legend and we are all honoured to be living in the same planet as him.

Federer was just trying to break Dimitrov’s Rhythm. He could have easily gotten medical assistance right on the court if it’s just his shoulder and neck, there was no need to leave. It’s not as if he had to takeoff his shorts or something.

I don't think anyone has told us what it was. We were guessing back.

Someone's living a lavish life.
I don't see how that story could be true. Front posted it last night, just a couple of hours after the match ended. The Express had already found the story? With no mention of the dummy's name, or where they heard about it? Who's going to go around bragging that they blew $53,000 on tickets to a final before the QF match was over?

In the press room after the match, the Swiss was asked to explain the issue that led to his off-court injury timeout.

"Well, I just needed some treatment on my upper—what is it—back, neck," he detailed. "Just needed to try to loosen it up, crack it and see if it was going to be better."

And he couldn’t do it on the court? He had to leave for that?

They were purchased through StubHub, so I'm assuming the purchase was essentially public record.

Got it. OK, so this person decided that they needed to snap up those bargain $53K tickets before the end of the match, when they'd get even MORE expensive? I guess that's why I had a hard time believing it.

It would have been good for Federer to play Djokovic at USO, with Djokovic not 100% at least it Federer could get a win in Asia over Djokovic hopefully.

Yeah, it makes you wonder how much they would have been if they had still been available, and Roger had won. $60K? $70K? More?

Well, if you're willing to pay $53K, you wouldn't notice the loss.

Really who cares about a potential win over Djokovic and then not even making the final? He screwed up the most important win over Djokovic at Wimbledon.

It would be nice to see Federer beat Djokovic, he has not won against him 2015 WTF, but ok Wimbledon was the big one. Honestly that's a really big monkey on Federer's back it's almost 4 years now
