Congratulations to Grigor Dimitrov for battling hard and winning his first career match against Federer. I think the real key to the match was the 12 minute game in the 4th set that he did not break. Like I said before, that was the type of game that could hurt Federer in the long run. In addition, it helped Dimitrov to calm down because he knew he was playing and fighting hard. Now, Federer did have 4 or 5 break points to break back but at that point Dimitrov felt that he can beat Federer in this match.

Feel free to keep pumping Nadal up; well over expectations! It'll be even more gratifying if and when he goes down in flames!
"Well over expectations?" He was always considered the 2nd most likely to win it. He has won it 3 times. I'm sure you hope he loses now, but GSM isn't wrong to tell you, as the Magic 8 ball will, that chances of Nadal not winning are "Unlikely."

Did Ralphy give you AIDS yet, my vote is yes :drums:
No amount of your hurting from Roger's loss excuses this post. It is shameful on several levels. Is there nothing that is really too low for you?

How low can go as Federer fan It's not right to say those things I know Federer lost but this is too far.
Oh, stop acting like the wronged party. You troll Federer threads and fans all the time around here. You disrupted a perfectly fine conversation here to insert Rafa during the match, for no reason at all. I'm sure your mother would be embarrassed at your lack of home training, unless you were actually born under a bridge.

I never got over Wimbledon. This tournament felt like a continuation of Wimbledon, like it had never ended. I felt like I might actually get the joy and redemption. This hurts as badly.

Federer should retire this year.

When he recently had 2 match points against the world number 1 at Wimbledon? Good idea. Anyway, he's already said he'd like to be still playing at 40 which means 2 more full seasons potentially.

Disgusting end of this slam . 4 consecutive years of injury at this wretched slam.

Hopefully Fed tries to peak at AO next year and skips the remaining tournaments of 2019.

Not holding my breath tho.

That's fine I want to see Federer play that long against Nadal need to get some wins back, I just think he should retire at a good level.

There it is. I'm very sad for Federer fans, that he's not well, and we don't get the Fedal final.

Was really looking forward to potentially seeing them play here. Pretty sad it'll likely never happen now. It was now or never at this stage/age in Federer's case. Woke up and first thing I did was check the scores and went damn. To be honest though, even if he'd beaten Dimitrov, I think he'd have lost to Medvedev and it may have been straight sets. He seems like a man on a mission.

I don't feel sad for Federer fans only Federer himself, don't care if that turns people the wrong way, he's playing like a old man who's about to lose he's grand slam record, by the way Nadal will be par goat really soon.

Didn't see this coming. Well, quite literally, as I missed the match.

Props to Grigor. Hopefully Roger's back issue is minor.

In his last 2 matches before this loss he looked by far the best player in the tournament so well done I guess, Nostradamus.

Well Yea of course it's me I see Federer losing from a mile away, it's ok if he stays in the game Federer can win Wimbledon next year and I'm a Nadal fan saying that. You know Federer would have got destroyed in the final against Nadal.
