Some Fed fans have been very rude and ugly about Nadal. It doesn't make it right to respond in kind, or to kick people when they're down. Good that you see that.
I think we all allow adrenaline to take over at times & cloud our judgement. I can't say I don't because I do. I would be a hypocrite if I said I didn't. We all say or do things we regret. I act like a complete fool when I get like that. We've just got to know the signs & take time out to calm down & relax in whatever way or air our feelings in a more constructive way (I use poetry, song-writing or singing normally) & come back later when we're calmer & can think rationally again. It doesn't always work though. What we've done when angry isn't always right but we've got to try to do something about it or face the consequences not just use anger as an excuse.

ROFL! That's cheered me up somewhat. He can go back to his albino midget pr0n collection now anyway if he needs to get it up, the useless old clown. Worst sporting day in decades. I didn't even really give a tuppenny f**k when I lost 2 grand at RG 2009 on an outright bet for the despicable one to win it all. It was after all also a joyful day for millions worldwide. But this...

I get the vibe that if he managed to win this title, he may still have it in him to win more slams. Now I think he's done personally. Tbh, I didn't expect him to win anymore anyway but losing like this was just beyond abysmal. I remember him beating Anderson 6-1 6-1 at Cinci 2015, making a mockery of him with SABR and then this?! What the actual f**k was this?

Yeah last time was 6-1 6-1 and now he folds like a cheap suit to this creampuff. I don't care if he's 56, he shouldn't lose this early in the tourney to a guy with only a serve.

I think he's done too unless he wins one of the next two majors. We will see if he still has any ambition or if he is going to spread the ass cheeks for Rafa to derail his career

Sadly, it's not just adrenaline or the heat of the moment that drives some Fed fans to such rudeness. It's a white-hot hatred. And the ones who do it don't even pretend it's not. (See Darth: "I hate Rafa more than I love Roger.") They vent spleen even when Roger's not playing. Now, you and I might say that such hatred is cancerous to the person who harbors it. But some of them are in love with their hatred. Me, I'm used to it, though I will try to tell them off. I just try not to be that person.

Darth sometimes just seems like the guy in panto everyone boos & hisses sometimes so I thought he just liked the theatrical performance of acting that way as I've looked at some of his other conversations & he has normal conversations with people. You're saying "They love to hate him". I noticed. I'm getting used to everyone. You're 1 of the guys & act like 1 of the guys.

Darth is a good egg and we love him, but he's not being theatrical when he tells us how much he hates Rafa. He means it. His good side takes a bit of the rough off of his horrible side, but not all. Though, as to being theatrical, some of the Fedfans have taken to their fainting couches today and have decided it's all over for Roger. I am hoping they'll get over that, and even that Roger will help them, if not perhaps at this coming USO or YEC.

I noticed he's a good guy really. I love him too. We've all got bad sides though. Mine, if you haven't already noticed are my temper, obstinacy at times & loquacity. It's his decision at the end of the day. I hope they get over it too. Maybe drowning their sorrows will help them calm down.

Federer winning Cincy will calm them down.

Who cares about Cincy. And he won't win there or anywhere again this season. Have you seen him play since Rotterdam?
Yes, and so have you. Don't pretend you haven't seen him playing beautifully. You're just completely results-driven. If he wins Cincy and/or Toronto, he'll be well-placed and in the top 2-3 favorites to win the USO. He didn't die today, he just lost. He's #2 in the world. I don't see a deep swan dive straight from today into the bowels of ignominy and retirement.

He has sucked since winning Rotterdam. I wasn't fooled by the first 3 rounds, merely encouraged that he looked better than Halle. I was alarmed as soon as he went special ed Fed during Mannarino match after a bagel set and 0-40. After that I became worried that even these clowns could stop him from the final...I was right. He's toast until he wants it bad enough and takes the game as life and death as he should've here.

I don't know why but I think Fed will win USO. I think he'll peak for Cincy USO because he'll be highly motivated and desperate to win there after this shock.

Logically faker and dull would be the favourites but I think Fed will end up winning. All is not lost yet imo.

I hope you're right but it's highly doubtful. That court is slow. Roger's last great chance was last year when that draw resembled a challenger event and the idiot got himself hurt beforehand. If he can't do well at Halle or Wimbledon what chance does he have the rest of the year? I wonder if he completely slacked off on the 2 months off. He has been dismal since Rotterdam.

Can't argue with that but what else can we do? I've never felt so sad since Wimby 16 SF. Sometimes you have to hit your lowest low to rise again. Fed is too good a player and as much as he chokes, too big of a champion to resign to his fate. I think he can do it but things have to fall in place.

We will see. Losing like that at this Wimbledon to a nobody makes his prospects look poor. But he has sucked at Wimbledon for a lot of the last 11 years (only 3 titles) anyways. It is disappointing.

I think everyone should relax. These things happen. I think most people have stated the obvious in that the longer a match goes for Federer the more in favor it is likely to go in favor of his opponent at this point in his career. It’s why you hear someone like Serena state that she is looking for the quick win because I’m sure even she knows despite health and fitness that age happens to be an ugly thing that rears its head no matter what when you are competing at a high level.

There is no reason to relax after this. That choke job might alter history, and it is yet another God awful Wimbledon for Roger. Aside from last year he's been poor at Wimbledon for some time. And he didn't lose that match because of age
