Fed has done poorly indoors for awhile now, last YEC was 2011.

7 years. Imagine that. 7 years without WTF for the indoor GOAT. I just can't.

These are the stats that HURT Federer because for whatever reason he forgets to cash in his accounts. It's not losing RG, it's not losing IW, it's not losing Miami. It's not winning USO for a decade when he won it 5 consecutive times, not winning WTF for the past 7 years when he's won it 6 times is why he is suffering right now.

I mean he literally had EVERYTHING going for him to win USO 17 after winning Wimbledon, owned Nadal on HCs, Djokovic completely out of contention and didn't even play, confidence of winning 2 slams in the year and he decides to play Canada after a Coldplay concert and not only plays bad and loses but picks up an injury. That to me sums up why Fed is still in a dogfight with mowgli even after winning 20 slams. I mean it's just unthinkable how he doesn't finish off Nadal when he keeps getting openings.

I think losing USO 17 was the worst loss of his career in the context of the slam race. This was the time when he could've absolutely buried Nadal and ended any hopes he had of catching Fed cause Fed would've opened up a 5 slam gap which would've been too much for dull mentally and who knows maybe that would've disabled him from winning RG too. It would've demoralised dull and made him feel 5 slam gap is just too much. Instead he closed it down to 3 slams rather than ATLEAST maintaining it 4 and I wonder how much this will cost Fed in the future when all is said and done.

I think 2008 was his worst loss, it opened the floodgates for twatdal and it was a pathetic performance. I think this may end up being the 2nd worst loss of his career, even at C level he should've made the final and had a good chance to win. And if he had got up to A level it'd have been a coronation.

I try not to think about the 2008 loss because Fed was just bad overall in that year due to mono and Nadal was peaking all over the place so even though Fed lost it was *kindof* feared it would happen. Though I totally agree it was the worst loss of his career without doubt.

But what really gets me is when Fed blows it when he's expected to win and is in good enough form to win. That is what really hurts. The losses to Delshitro USO 09, Safin AO 05(led 5-2 in the 4th set breaker and had a MP ofcourse), Wim 16 chokes to botnic when no fakervic in the final waiting, USO 17(the worst loss of this kind), Wim 18 now ofcourse.

Everytime, Fed has a chance to send mowgli back to the jungle FOREVER, Fed blows it. Every fucking time. It drives me crazy.

Lazy thinking for 2008 loss. I expected he'd step up and win, instead he played like a clown for most of that match despite what some of the Nadal nuts say. He was good maybe 10% of the match and terribly unclutch for the most part, let's remember Nadal had done nothing off clay before that day. It made Roger weak against Rafa for a long time and he bent over for a decade after that. Moreover he's only won 8 slams since then.

I hope that losing Wimbledon will motivate him to try to peak for US open

This. Sad. Really sad. It's so fu$&+ng stupid from someone of his achievements. Just inexplicable. Here is Nadal using every single scrap of opportunity in the race and it's beyond frustrating to see Fed blow thong again and fu+-@ng again. He has given as much suffering to his fans as he given joy.

That's the gigantic gap between the two. Nadal fans point out that of course Nadal too has lost many big matches. Yes, but he outplayed or perhaps injured except in those matches. Not Federer. He has blown matches that had he had Nadal's attitude, he would have won handily. It's maddening. Exasperating. Frustrating. Infuriating. The fu@+$er was giggling in the USO 2009 presentation ceremony. Can you imagine Nadal doing that? Feels like nails scraping walls when you helplessly watch him go into zombie mode there in gimme matches. Monfed's list of matches all are like that. We should also add may be Tsonga 2010 Wimbledon and 2009 AO Nadal. Those were not gimmes but he was in a position to win and suddenly decides that it is an exhibition match.

The press vultures are already announcing that today it's game, set and match Nadal and curtains for Fed. This time Fed won"t be proving them wrong anymore. Well you keep playing Russian roulette in important winnable matches. Sooner or later you'll kill yourself. Well Nadal is not suicidal like him.

Guys stop overreacting. Fed will come back to winning ways later this year. He will win at least one more slam (not necessarily this year) in his career.

What I can say for sure is that he is definitely out of contention for YE #1 this year. He may not even be #2.

He may win USO this year, but he needs a good draw and some assists.

By extension, is dull a lock now for YE#1 or can Zverev/delshitro hijack him?

Dull a 99.99% lock if he wins Wimbledon. If he reaches final, still he is 90% lock.

Fed is guaranteed #2 spot in race at the end of Wimbledon no matter what happens.

But the race is getting tighter and so he can lose that spot, if he continues to slack off.

What if dull goes out in Rd 2/3 at USO?

Nadal will lead by 1700 odd points if he loses today.

If Federer dramatically improves and Nadal has some early exits in the remaining part of the especially in slams/Masters it's possible but looks unlikely at the moment

Thank god Novak saved tennis. But having stopped Fed from 4 slams(14-16), he got one back for Fed so it's well deserved.

Thanks Novak!

You saved my life. :good:

I think you are both horrible in your rabid hatred of Nadal. Rafa is one of the best things to happen to tennis in 3 generations. You hate him because he's done so much damage to your Precious. There is no other reason. You outrageously claim that the world has been saved, as if tennis were the only thing that matters. It's not just superficial, it's insulting to the world and its problems. And it's not like I don't have a sense of humor, but you lot regularly claim that tennis and the world needs to be saved from Rafa. This is not thermo-nuclear war, or even a James Bond movie. It's only tennis. You should really get a grip on reality. It is patently obvious what you despise, and it's really not Rafa's tennis. It's all the smudges he's made on Roger's resume, and the fact that he's still in the hunt for the Majors.

"saving humanity" was intended to be a light hearted post. I was not even the one who started that phrase. I am not sure who started it exactly (although I have a very good guess). It sounded very funny and so I jumped on it.

No, I don't despise Rafa. I only despise him winning slams.

Take it easy.

You use other people's nasty names for Nadal, you jump on the "saving humanity" ridiculousness, and you gloat over his loss. I think you shouldn't try to pass it off as just being "light-hearted," and blame other people for the ugliness. You've been told it's not funny, and yet you persist. I think you should own your part in the diatribe against Nadal. I don't think you're such a dead-head that you don't know what you're saying or how it impacts the Nadal fans. You mean to be ugly, and so you are.
