Kerbie escapes the upset from the WC 6-4 in the decider
I was just thinking, man does she deserve to be all the way out on court 12...I guess so if the struggle is real with a WC player :-(

That was kind of a slap in the face to a 2 time slam champ and former #1. But she hung tight anyway

Hats off to Liu for putting up a fight though.

BTW, she is not a WC. She is a qualified. She got WC into quals by virtue of being Girl's champ of last year.

Don't be fooled by court numbers. After Center court and courts #1, #2 and #3, court #12 is the next best show court and court #18 is the next best one.

The Sharapova slayers moves in straights.

That was a good follow up. But, defeating Sharapova in a match that went to three sets and in which she came back up from 2-5 down and that went beyond three hours is simply a great achievement, especially considering this is her first main draw match at Wimbledon.

It's a slap in the face when you think about who was on the other show courts. Look at Court 3 for example. No one on this court has a better resume than Kerbie. Wawa was completing his match from yesterday.

Same thing on Court 2 w/ the exception of Mugu & Novak

Come on, there are valid reasons. Genie is blue eyed blonde:rose: and Katie is a British girl.

Giorgi comes back from a set and a break down to win her match 3-6 7-6(6) 6-2. Siniakova was in tears after losing that TB.
