They only do that to ensure that the final happens at the scheduled time. I don't think there's any danger of that this year so it is what it is. Also they have to try to protect CC. Sucks for the players. I think Novak has had some tough scheduling, and Roger has been treated perhaps a bit too nicely. But... it's market forces guys. Folks want to see the old man play. It would be stupid to put him even on number 1 court because the premium for CC would seriously piss off the punters who don't get to see him. People rail about it I know, but Wimbledon wants to make money. Had Murray still been in the draw then they might possibly have been able to justify doing something like that
Berg. This doesn't pass mustard today. They're playing a doubs match right now on CC. Instead of moving Djoke there or finish Delpo, they chose to put a doubs match there, senseless.

They are all partying. Some are worrying about Novak. But the partying ones point out that the surface isn't very different from Rome 18 and it was a straight set affair.

Djokovic is playing the best consistent tennis he has in 2 years. Fed fans are already worried about him, and he's not in Roger's half. Anyone not worried about Novak isn't paying attention.

Market forces? What on earth are you babbling about? Market forces dictate Sunday play.

I think Nadal fans know that Fed fans are edgy, so they don't want to ruffle feathers. They are hoping quietly that their idol reaches the final and wins another Wimbledon. I think their strategy is the right one.:)

They, like their master, are pigs in Wimbledon shit right now. All the stars are aligned to give him a chance at this. Weak as hell draw and a laughable court. It's up to Fed to take what is rightfully his. #9 would still be an underachievement but it'd be excellent nonetheless.

Fed fan...if you haven't noticed Monfed is worried about everyone. It's a good attitude to have if you're Fed. As a fan I only worry about Fed playing up to standards. He won't lose or even be pushed to 5 if he does that.

These Wimby organizers lost my respect for the 2008 debacle. The ump came on “Strokes of Genius” to say it was “painfully dark” but he didn’t have the authority to suspend the match. I hope whoever was responsible for that and slowing down the grass spends time in Hades watching endless baseline rallies.

He is from around there, Id say his thoughts on the matter holds a lot of water. Have you been around rich locals?? They tend to have a lot of power...

Lol! You're suggesting that doubles isn't as important as singles? Particularly as one of the players is English? Come on..

They lost my respect back in 2002 when they switched it. Most people had Wimbledon as their favorite slam in large part due to how different it was. Then the tourney director decided he likes long rallies and changed history as we know it resulting in the slop we see now.

My point. Not exactly ‘market forces’ but pure nimbyism.

No they don't. You're conflating two issues. Wimbledon want to keep the schedule for the finals. That's one thing.

Sunday play ain't happening anytime soon. The location of the All England Club is in one of the most expensive parts of London. It's played there at their sufferance. Whether you like it or not, that's just the way it is

I'm a hardcore Fed Fan and I'm not edgy. It will be what it will be. For Gods's sake - the man is about to turn 37 and so-called experts started saying he should retire when he was 28 or 29. The way I see it - he and his alleged $300 MILLION Uniqlo deal have had the last laugh regardless of whether he wins this Wimbledon or not. Having said that - sure, I want #21 because it keeps him 4 ahead of Nadal...and if somebody just gave you $300MIL - you need to show them it's money well spent. How are you going to build a new RF brand" when all of your big career wins came while wearing another company's clothes? There go career retrospective commercials and ads, right? Roger's definitely got pressure on him to win this Wimbledon - but since none of the money is going into MY bank account - I ain't sweatin' it they way I ususally would. Does that make me a bad Fed Fan?

I think they were right in 2002. Some of those finals were just putrid. The mistake they've made is that they haven't adjusted for improved string technology which has allowed players to return better. They don't need the courts to be this slow anymore

I can't believe you got that wrong, too. You're talking about Jamie Murray, right? He's a Brit, but....
