I think they were right in 2002. Some of those finals were just putrid. The mistake they've made is that they haven't adjusted for improved string technology which has allowed players to return better. They don't need the courts to be this slow anymore

I don't even think they were right then. There are going to be good and bad finals regardless of the surface. And totally agree that they should switch back. Halle has had some pretty solid matches over the years, it isn't just a serve fest and there are some rallies, just not like we are seeing here. They might as well be playing this on hard courts.

I'm a hardcore Fed Fan and I'm not edgy. It will be what it will be. For Gods's sake - the man is about to turn 37 and so-called experts started saying he should retire when he was 28 or 29. The way I see it - he and his alleged $300 MILLION Uniqlo deal have had the last laugh regardless of whether he wins this Wimbledon or not. Having said that - sure, I want #21 because it keeps him 4 ahead of Nadal...and if somebody just gave you $300MIL - you need to show them it's money well spent. How are you going to build a new RF brand" when all of your big career wins came while wearing another company's clothes? There go career retrospective commercials and ads, right? Roger's definitely got pressure on him to win this Wimbledon - but since none of the money is going into MY bank account - I ain't sweatin' it they way I ususally would. Does that make me a bad Fed Fan?

This right here....sometimes I think we all forget, as Nadal and Fed fans, that these two 'almost billionaires' don't know us from Adam and will retreat to their estates win or lose...take it easy.

I believe when they moved the doubles to CC, they were not expecting JMDP to stink up and lose a set. So, I would say that it is not that they are giving preference for doubles (even if it involves a British player).
Yes they are. When Nadal finished his match, Djoke was still waiting. They didn't know when Court 1 would be available and they put a MXD doubs match on CC anyway. As Berg already said, Murray is still a Brit. Let Wimby own this mess they've created.

Crazy right? But we're going sports crazy over here, and patriotism has ticked up a little bit. We want to soak it all up

Uh.. there are literally 5 people in the stadium.... DP - Simon on the other hand was packed.

No my friend, the tourney organisers are just incompetent and simply inhereted so much real estate they can't possibly mess it up. But it's clear Wimbledon is probably the worst run slam.

I heard Darren Carhill today saying that it is like a fast hard court.

No. I believe they share some of this lunacy w/ the USO.

I'm not defending Wimbledon mate. I don't exactly approve of all the things they do. But they also have severe constraints on them from the council. Not going to argue the point about the doubles match. Frankly I don't give a shit. And I actually think that Novak has been treated shabbily in terms of scheduling. I'm just trying to provide you with some local insight. Take it or leave it..

That is true. Personally I am only interested in watching Federer perform on court. I don't care whether Federer divorces his wife or not, whether he buys two airplanes and an island or not. I am just interested in what he does on court. That is what sport is all about. People pay to watch the athletes perform, and the athletes make millions from it, but that shouldn't stop me from enjoying the sport.

Same here. Let's just say I wasn't happy to hear Fed was having twins and then he had to go and get a second pair. Those kids have likely hurt his career and may do so in the future. To me it's all about him holding off the despicable usurper, and he should've already done so by winning a few more slams.

I would recommend Fed buy Majorca.

I agree with that. If having two sets of identical twins prevents him from winning 26 grand slams titles, it becomes a problem for me too.

He's won 5 in 9 years since the girls were born. Not awful considering his age but maybe he could have won more. From AO 2010 - 2016 he only won 1 and barely featured in others making only 4 other slam finals in that time. That period was a killer if he ends up with a weak total.
