I'm greedy and I want them both. Realistically if Djoker is back he's probably taking USO. This tourney is Roger's to lose regardless of who is across the net.

Oh no doubt but at 37 winning 3 slams in a year is asking too much I'm afraid. And yes faker is the logical favourite at USO.

DP drops the 3rd. He is probably going to lose. Can we stop counting him among actual contenders at majors??

Over 3 hours for 3 sets of grass court tennis is just ridiculous. But this is what that idiot tournament director and fans of boring clay court tennis want to see.

Of course Simon takes the third and they have to stop play. Stupid Manic Monday. At least begin play an hour earlier or so.

Wimbledon has become maybe the worst run slam there is, they start play way too late considering there are no lights and they refuse to move matches to courts that have them. It's inexcusable not to move that match to Centre to finish it. And that of course doesn't touch on the fact they prefer their rallies to be as long as clay courts.

Out of town and super-busy with family stuff. Just lurking and watching a bit. You're sweet to miss me, though. :D
I miss you too & hope you're well & happy. :0) Take care. Try not to work too hard & give yourself a break some time.

They are obsessed with tradition, and often it does sabotage the players. No one knows why the curfew has to be 9 pm when they can still play on center court.

I think Nadal fans know that Fed fans are edgy, so they don't want to ruffle feathers. They are hoping quietly that their idol reaches the final and wins another Wimbledon. I think their strategy is the right one.:)

The curfew for CC is 11pm, but what they haven't been doing is moving matches to CC to finish. Making players come back the next day to finish means they don't get a day off.

I highly doubt that sensible Rafa fans are even thinking about the final at this stage. He has to go through Delpo potentially and then Novak potentially? It's an absolute horror show of a draw for him

So DelPo's match is suspended and he'll have to play at least 1 set tomorrow. There's his ready-made excuse for losing to Nadal on Wed. Next!

That is why I said they sabotage the players. They know very well that the players are inconvenienced, but they still continue doing it.

They only do that to ensure that the final happens at the scheduled time. I don't think there's any danger of that this year so it is what it is. Also they have to try to protect CC. Sucks for the players. I think Novak has had some tough scheduling, and Roger has been treated perhaps a bit too nicely. But... it's market forces guys. Folks want to see the old man play. It would be stupid to put him even on number 1 court because the premium for CC would seriously piss off the punters who don't get to see him. People rail about it I know, but Wimbledon wants to make money. Had Murray still been in the draw then they might possibly have been able to justify doing something like that

Djoker is very good when playing against both the clock and an opponent he is supposed to beat. I have seen him race against the clock and go for win on multiple occasions.

As for the 11pm cut off time. That's to do with the council and the local rules. Imagine if the US Opens was located in the Hamptons. That's the only equivalent I can think of
